We read about this restaurant in 585 Magazine last year, and saved it to our list. After a movie, we decided to try this restaurant. The address says 130 Spring St., but when we drove by, there was no sign. We parked, (right next to Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Rochester). The sign had been knocked down in the... More

I have been to New Orleans 4 times, and in fact my personal Red Beans and Rice dish is from a New Orleans Firefighter. This place is a match to the food in New Orleans. The Crawfish Etouffee is balanced just right. The catfish Po boy sandwich is so good you don't want to add hot sauce because you want... More

We visited primarily to hear our favorite local musicians, Laura Dubin and Antonio Guerrero. The facility is an old building that is being restored. Excellent local jazz related art adorns the walls. The menu is limited but tastes homemade and is authentic New Orleans fare. Staff was extremely accommodating and our waitress was terrific. What could be better! They need... More

Arrived early for lunch, immediate service, and great meal. The decor is wonderful. One artists providing so many nice paintings. The background music was nice old jazz classics.

I was blown away by this place. Truly lives up to all the reviews I've read. We ordered the Crawfish boudin balls and Jambalaya for app. Then had the crawfish etouffee and shrimp creole, all of which exceeded our expectation. The restaurant was very presentable, clean, and organized. The service was excellent and quick. Me and my friends will be... More

I came across this place while looking for a place to have lunch with my wife who works in downtown Rochester. I checked Tripadvisor and the restaurant had excellent reviews so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. I had the Crawfish Fettuccini and my wife had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and the Sweet Potato Casserole.... More

My daughter-in-law and son have lived in Rochester for a couple of years and had heard good things about the French Quarter. I read good things about the restaurant and suggested we give it a try. The four of us were very impressed. The setting is a large older house with high ceilings and darkly panted walls with numerous large... More

I am amazed with this place! The best creole, Cajun meal I can ever remember having - including New Orleans. This beautiful OLD Mansion redone. The ambience was outstanding, paintings on the walls incredible. The service was wonderful; very friendly, accommodating. I wanted to try everything on the menu! I had the Shrimp Etouffee and dirty rice. Outstanding. My Granddaughter... More

We visited for the first time this Friday and, after some questions about parking, were immediately seated as reserved (yes, you can not only park in the lot behind the building which is technically in front of the restaurant, but also in the very big lot on the side). Unfortunately, we had chosen an evening where there was a huge... More

JacQuan was an excellent waiter and the jazz mix was a swinging addition to a very good New Orleans meal in this northern city. The Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya was a flavorful and nicely portioned appetizer. The Crawfish Etouffee was also well portioned had a nice flavor but the roux was a little funky for a roux. It was a... More
