Never been to their shop. We have only eaten when they are at festivals. This meal was at the Fairport Octoberfest. Never had a bad meal. We had the smoked bratwurst, sauerkraut, and warm german potato salad.

Amazing lunch again. I had sampler and it was a party in my mouth. There was an unfamiliar currywurst that was amazing with an unusually delicious red sauce. You get a taste if the 4 sides, all of which were amazing, red cabbage, slaetzle, noods...More

Had lunch at Swans a few weeks ago. Great place to have German fare, only disappointment was they did not have spaetzly instead they served egg noodles. Be sure to go early as the tables fill quickly

Thanks for your review. Stop back in the last Thursday and Friday of every month when we have live music and also spaetzle!

The restaurant has been there for many years and the food is great - strictly German and the best around! The neighborhood is very sketchy to say the least, hence it's only open during the day. On street parking only. It's all worth it.

Small and cozy. Just love their "home cooking" dishes I grew up with. Friendly people and service. They are know for their excellent bacon. Their combo plate has the best offering.

A combination deli and restaurant. Only family seating; you get to meet other people. This the only place to get authentic German food that I know of in Rochester. Their deli has many selections and the food is good standard German fare. Only open Wed...More

Actually, most of the sausage are made of pork not beef. Only a couple are beef.

All of our tables are communal, so you can sit just the two of you and keep to yourselves or chat with the people seated near you and meet some great new friends! It works well for both! Hope you come in soon!!

All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 2. Grab a seat at one of the communal tables and hoist a glass of imported German beer. It's impossible to go away hungry! There's also live German music on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Wan can also cater events of any size, with anything from cold-cut trays to a full pig roast.
