We've dined several times at Le Petit Bistro . It's time to throw the staff some love again. Sit in the old section, at the bar, where bartender Bob will entertain and delight you. Proof-point, On placing the reservation, Bob recalled that my partner orders a vodka gimlet, and had the cocktail glass already chilling with ice water. How do... More

Our favorite restaurants are in Rhinebeck and we have been coming here basically every weekend for the past 3 years as we live somewhat local. We decided to ry Le Petit Bistro for the first time and I so glad we did. The service was great and friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. You can tell this place cares... More

Went here tonight for an early Valentines dinner with my wife. The expansion is great, we loved the atmosphere. The food was top notch from start to finish. We had the smoked fish plate for an appetizer and it was one of the best I've ever had. I need to know how they did the pickled herring. The french onion... More

Finding a great restaurant is not that easy in the country. By a great restaurant I mean one in which the owners put a lot of thought not only on the food's taste / sourcing of ingredients / presentation / variety / etc., but also the decor / atmosphere, wine list, cocktails list, knowledgeable staff, good service, value for money,... Delicious, always perfectly prepared, great selection cuisine with French nuances. Ambiance wonderful, venue has now expanded adding an additional section dressed in more modern flair. Very attentive staff. So many great dishes - really stuffed myself this time with Watercress soup, Escarcot, Beet Salad, Cod, lime sorbet.

The service on a Sunday night was cheerful and quick and the noise level was reasonable. While we ate lightly, the fried oysters, the beet salad, and the rolls were excellent, the mussels more non-descript. The wine by the glass menu was quite interesting. I agree with descriptions of the second room...put up some great art, pep it up, change... More

Le Petit Bistro used to be our favorite place in the area (we live in Woodstock). We used to look forward to our dinners there, and would go at least once a month. Since they expanded, they have ruined the experience. The new room (which is tacky and not very well designed) is so noisy you can't hear yourself think,... More

Me and a friend went here after visiting a winery. We had no reservations but were accommodated. The venue is small and seating is a little tight but it was well worth it. I ordered the mussells, venison ravioli and two pear martinis. Will definitely revisit and recommend to others.

We have been meaning to go Le Petit for years. They recently expanded and took the space of the cigar store on the corner. The menu was limited with only a few entrees. There was no chicken on the menu. The food was ok (my wife had the John Dory fish special and I had meat) and the waitress service... More

We tried this instead of our go to's in Rhinebeck like Terrapin and Gigi's. It is hard to get in without a reservation. I must say that I thought the food was average. The onion soup was nothing great ( I make a better one myself-the key is a great stock). I had the fish tacos, very little fish thought... More
