We learned the hard way that oia shuts down in the winter. With that said we flew in and rented a car and set off for dinner. Learned that many restaurants were closed. By luck we found this restaurant and I had great chicken kabobs, my teens ate gyros and my husband ate moussaka. All were tasty and the waiter... More

Another local restaurant opened during off season. The local is simple and tasty. The service was good too.

Loved this place. Ate there three times. Friendly service, good food, reasonable prices. Alex was our waiter all three times. Good guy.

We had a simple, delicious ,meal. Generally meals are overpriced and not particularly good. This restaurant is different. For a modest price we had delicious fish chips and salad. Darn good.

Our server was quite rude and left in the middle of taking our order 3 times to greet new people coming in, yet making us wait when we tried to get a table. We also found multiple hairs in the fried calamari. I suppose you get what you pay for here. OK food, decent price, and subpar service.

We visited this restaurant twice, because in general the food is pretty good. However, in one year something has changed - either we came too far off season and other people are managing it after the season ends or totally different people own it now. The place is quite quaint - off the beaten path and affordable. It is definitely... More

Very expensive for typical Greek food! There are better taverns with great quality of food. The environment is bad and needs renovation!

Santorini is well know for having the best FAVA beans in the world, the grow them on the island and are renown for the best in the world. However did not order them at this restaurant as I couldn't go pass the chickpea balls which were the best I have ever had, the shallow fried meatballs were also fantastic, we... More

An old fashioned chalk street sign on Nik.Nomikou, offering fresh grilled sardines and chips for €7.95, first drew our attention to Alkyona Sunset (Alkione) Restaurant. Attracted by the promise of fresh sardines, one of my favorite dishes, we decided to venture off the main road and take a look at the place. From the outside, especially when compared to high-end...
