Pizzas were very good and prices were reasonable BUT 2 lasagnes were cold in the middle, we sent them back and one came back only slightly aired and was sent back again, a new one was brought the second time but was little better. 2 other couples we met at various times said that was their experience too.

A fabulous choice of restaurant and 5* alternative to the all inclusive restaurants at our hotel. We choose to go out for a couple of meals and I would fully recommend this restaurant nestled in a side street. We were recommended this by the locals and was not disappointed.

This is one of the largest and classiest restaurants that we've visited in Sal. The interior is spacious and stylish, with smart and reasonably well-trained staff. Although it was busy, the pace of service was fine for a relaxed evening meal (it certainly wasn't fast food, but that's not what we wanted anyway). The food was faultless - we both... More

Nice place to eat. Friendly staff and good food. Missed a bit the Cape Verdean atmosphere (music, decoration), but it is an Italian restaurant. Food is really good. I can recommend the pizza with tuna.

Came here the other night, sat outside which was pleasant enough . We had lasagne which was delicious one of the best my wife said , bolognaise which I thought had to much basil in it however was still nice and carbonara which lacked flavour , pancetta or bacon and garlic. Was quite bland . I know you are supposed... More

Arrived quite late just before 9. Its a two tiered restaurant down a side street. We chose a table outside. Menus were delivered to us and drink orders taken whilst we perused the menu. There was a Cape Verde group playing a bit further down the alley which added to the relaxed atmosphere. We stuck to our fish at all... More

My daughter and myself were here in January 2017 and must say the meals we had were the best meals we had the whole holiday. Definitely recommend it

Chic and comfortable, the Leonardo Cafe can give its customers the taste the flavor of "made in Italy". Located in the center of Santa Maria a few steps from the sea, you'll enjoyintimate and relaxing atmosphere for lunch and dinner, with a wide range of wines.
With these words Leonardo da Vinci referred to his hometown and to the areas on the hills of Montalbano where the land yields genuine products and good will. Here, where hills, villages, priories, villas and farmhouses are surroundedby vineyards and olive groves, the presence of the Great Genius can still be felt.
