I have been coming here for many years. It's nice to be able to step back in time and enjoy a nice meal. I was only disappointed once when the owner treated an employee very badly. She didn't deserve to be spoken to like that. Other than that one time, everything is wonderful.

Love Gus's for many years but on a recent visit was surprised by the cost of a hot corned beef sandwich accompanied by a good but lonely pickle. $12.00? Where were the French fries or dip of slaw?

Gus's has some of the best German food around. Worth going off the beaten path for the food. Staff is friendly and the prices are not bad.

An unpretentious place with good food. The portions are generous and prices fair. Staff is friendly and efficient. Would recommend for a nice dinner at a reasonable price.

The restaurant is misleading from the outside - looks like a neighborhood, local bar. Step inside and you are transported back 50 years, with the decor and paneling. Not a bad thing. The menu is basic, but home-cooked German food like my grandma made. The lunch special - sauerbraten - was excellent and just the right portion side. Ordered a... More

Gus's is a family owned place filled with locals and visitors alike. The food is always excellent. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu.

We ate for the first time last week at Gus's Tavern for lunch. It was our first time eating at Gus's. When we walked in at 1PM there was no one else in restaurant. Based on great reviews we stayed. The service was excellent. The restaurants decor is rather old but extremely clean which is more important. The German food... More

Old-time bar serving German food. The potato pancakes were very tasty, larger than I'm accustomed to, but fried well and with good flavor. Good food, appropriate (but not huge) sized portions, but I think the bar is the bigger draw for some. We were here on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't all that crowded -- I'm guessing nights are... We picked Gus's as the site of a military reunion event on the advice of one of our group. Gus's was a great choice. Elements of this group has gathered each November to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday for over 20 years. This year we numbered over 40 and we're given the entire bar space at Gus's for our dinner,... More
