Tasty Acre gets its fanbase largely through convenience. It is by far the cheapest place to eat for those visiting Chautauqua Institution, and it's in a prime location. The food is mediocre at best and, at times, overpriced in order to take advantage of the Chautauqua crowd. If you are able to, you'd be better off driving 5 minutes or... More

This diner serves breakfast , lunch and dinner during the Summer. It is clean and wait staff is attentive. It depends on what you order as to how good it is. I had the chicken tenders with fries, too much fried but that was my choice. I would not get that again. The others had sandwiches that looked fine I... More

Nice little cafe immediately adjacent to the Chautauqua Institution. A nice spot to stop for home cooking between sessions. Check out their bakery.

Let's start at the conclusion: If you're looking for a good lunch in the area, look somewhere else. My wife and I were driving through the area and stopped to see the Chautauqua Institution and grab a quick lunch. Tasty Acre came with generally quite good reviews, and we love little diners & local joints; stopping here seemed like a... More

This little diner has good basic breakfasts, lunch and early dinner. Fish Fry and Fried shrimp are our favorites for dinner. Great select of homemade pies and breads Fast friendly service.

When Chautauqua opens its gates - this place is SURE to be open as well. YUMMY, filling breakfasts. Biscuits and gravy are a favorite of mine. The front area has a few stools and the back is not huge, so you may have to wait. BUT - it will be worth it. Standard diner food - done well!

Simple diner-style restaurant offering cheap eats, friendly staff and good, simple food. Nothing fancy, but a good alternative to expensive food on Chautauqua Institute grounds.

We've been coming to chautauqua lake for 20 yrs plus and always wondered what this little place was like… finally stopped in for lunch. Sorry to say while it is like stepping back in time when you walk in it also smells like a very old cottage :( The waitress was very friendly and efficient but my hash browns were... More

They offered a good selection for breakfast; the wait staff was friendly and attentive. We were headed on a long drive before anything else in the area opened up so this was perfect. It is located just outside the gates of the institution and just north of the entry to the check in area. We had not noticed it on... More

Located just off of the Chautauqua Institution grounds it does provide a less expensive fare for those on a budget. My favorite lunch there is the mushroom bisque. Yum!
