Food was incredible- fresh homemade pasta and veal. Caesar salad made at the table. A simply delicious meal!

I've only eaten here once and the food was not good and very pricey. A friend ate here despite my recommending he not go there and wound up getting sick. I cannot recommend it.

Really great, fairly high end Italian food in the middle of nowhere. Best Caesar salad and really great home made pastas. The menu is ridiculously large and so are the number of daily specials. The location is bizarre, industrial and dirty. The atmosphere of the restaurant is more like a hotel conference room and has always been fairly empty when... More

Who knew such a gem of a restaurant could exist in this part of rural ny state. The staff was friendly and very attentive but the food was some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever tasted.

We went with a party of 15c the Restaurant staff handled our seating arrangements with no difficulty at all. The menu had a great variety of meat, chicken and fish. The special that I ordered was a pork chop with hot cherry peppers and it was delicious. The resurgent also had a great bar area and the whole atmosphere was... More

The restaurant never disappoints. Food and service are consistently good. Wine is also a fine selection. However for upstate NY, the prices are NYC style.. If you love great Italian food,Mathis is the place.

We went here for dinner not knowing what to expect. The food was delicious and there were great specials. This was as good as or better than many more expensive restaurants in New York City. It's worth trying.

We ate at Piccolo Paese before we saw our daughter in a show at Stage Door Manor theater camp. They were very understanding that we didn't have a lot of time and since everything is cooked to order they let us know the dishes to stay away from that would take a long time. The dry vodka martini I ordered... More

As Stagedoor Manor parents we had heard about this Italian restaurant for years and finally made a reservation (which they managed not to have when we arrived) for dinner. Liberty is not a prosperous town so we forgave the restaurant its 1970s decor when we walked in the door. But when we glanced at the rather brief one page menu,... More

Ample parking at this Italian eatery. Everything was good. Although enjoyed eating there I am not in a hurry to return there. Bottom line, if you want Italian, go there!
