Nothing fancy for sure but good food and that's what counts. I make it a point to eat here when I'm in town. Very convenient to airport hotels.

I've been going to Ted's for over 60 years. Started at the one in Watervliet while going to St. Bridget's school. Even though I have lived in California for over 40 years I always go back to Ted's when I visit family.

We stop at Ted's fish fry whenever we come into Latham to visit family. My husband is addicted to Ted's Fish Fry and I LOVE the onion rings!!

Honestly they keep growing because they have the best fish fry around. No stale or old oil here. The portion and taste of the fish is the best in the area no matter which one you go to. Their onion rings are hand dredged also. Best Fish Fry in the Capital District.

For a great fried cod fish sandwich platter with 2 sides and a drink for about $15, you can't beat Ted's. I think there are 7 locations locally and it's where the locals eat. It's a fast food environment, order at the counter and mix with the locals. Fried fish that exceeds the ends of the bun. Try the chilli... More

The food was okay. The problem was it sat on the counter waiting to be served for over five minutes! Would have been better piping hot.

This is not a classy restaurant and does not have ambiance. What Ted's has is an amazing Fish Fry that is always good, always fresh and always a "go to" whenever I come back to the Capital District. There are many restaurants that people talk about because their menu gets stale and dated and never changes. Thank you Ted's for... More

Got 3 fish large fries and onion rings for $27.00. The fish is still good but the fries were loaded with oil and just 1/2 cooked. The onion rings were also half cooked and tasteless. Last visit to Teds!

Having grown up in the Albany area, I've cherished these fish fries and other Ted's menu items for decades. Since moving away back in the 80's Ted's is the first place I visit to enjoy a favorite taste of home whenever I return for a family visit. No place else I've lived in or traveled to, and there have been... More

Description
Fish fries are our specialty, but we're also known for having the best burgers, which are always fresh, and don't forget about our meat sauce dog, smothered with special sauce that's derived from a time-honored Greek family recipe. For four years in a row, Ted's Fish Fry was voted the Best Fish Fry in the Capital District by the readers of Capital Region Living Magazine.
