saw this place on my last visit but couldnt convince the family to eat there. Today I had breakfast with my daughter there. first impression is a busy, tastefully decorated eclectic (maybe?) eatery. mis-matched chairs at tables, no two of which match, branches adorning the ceiling, impressionist paintings of local landscape, i loved it. order at the counter, seat ourselves,... We enjoy this place as it is right across the street from our favorite hotel (Wildwood). The homemade bread is very tasty, they also make muffins and cookies. The sandwiches are very good also. We went about 4-5 times throughout the week. Nearly every time they seemed to either not be open per their posted hours or out of items... More

We had this for breakfast and were very satisfied! Very generous servings for the price - also competitive pricing for Lake Placid. Excellent homemade bread! Cant say enough good things about the cook - very accommodating and fast service. Handled my daughters food first and fixed 3 Paysanne's to go in under 10 minutes. Great work.

So, this is where all the hippies went! Fantastic food, unique decor and great easy-going atmosphere. A very crunchy-granola type of place

They make their own bread --we bought 3 loaves after tasting the bread in our sandwiches--soup is wonderful. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing, the staff was super sweet, and the restaurant was ADORABLE! The decor is so well put together: old tables and chairs mismatched together, and lots of floral boughs all over the ceiling. I especially loved the old stove they had some art displayed on. I would definitely say this is a must for a nice deli... More

This was my 2nd time here and love the sandwiches served on sourdough. I had the jerk chicken. My parents, brother and his family were with us. Everyone had a great lunch and pleased with food, even kids.

I think to work in this restaurant, you have to qualify for bad attitude and poor customer service. It's been around for ever and that is the one thing that has not changed. The food, when they give you what you ordered, is ok. Kind of home cooked. Burned toast, cool eggs, nothing special on the plate. Every year we... More

Had breakfast here on a recent visit to Lake Placid. Food was delicious, bread was amazing. The place itself its cute and cozy - has a real "mountain town" feel to it.

We chose this place one morning since it was very conveniently located across the street from our hotel and it did have good reviews on Trip Advisor. It isn't bad but compared to what we got at Generations for less money, it's really not all that great. The bread is really good indeed (if you like sourdough) but for the... More
