We loved our dining experience here! We sat outside on the porch, which is high above the expansive backyard of this property. We got the four-course tasting, and a great Pinot Noir from Wilamette Valley. All the food was delicious - no complaints!! Before dessert, however, which was as the sun was setting, my boyfriend became the meal to some... More

So overpriced for horrible food. Lamb chops were full of gristle, fish was tasteless. Do not waste your money.

Artisan's is very beautiful. The lighting is just right. Soft music ... really comfortable and romantic. The wine list is impressive. It took twenty minutes to be seated on a slow night. The service was very slow and when our meal finally arrived the chicken was still partly raw. The positive side is that our waitress was smart and on... More

We stayed at the Lake Placid Lodge and had high expectations for the food. I was shocked when I saw the prices and my expectations rose even higher. The food was very good but not great for the amount of money. I had a watermelon gazpacho (something I usually love); it was so fruity I felt as I was eating... More

I've been going to this restaurant for years. I can say that last time all that was left was the gorgeus view and the excellent service, but they are not working anymore in the quality of the food, they are not innovating. It was pricy and not worth it.

Thank you for the customer response on innovation and our food program in Artisans. We balance innovation with the customers desire for comfort foods and standard offerings. If you could let us know the next time you are visiting the area we would love the opportunity to have you tour the kitchen and with notice enjoy a special innovative dinner. More

Fine food, well cooked, alert and charming staff, and gorgeous setting for a summer's night. Worth every penny.

I don't rave about a place like this often, but Artisans is one of those rarest of gems that comes along very rarely: a combination of superb food, spotless service, and an idyllic atmosphere. We visited the restaurant a couple of weeks ago though we did not want to spring for the room rate at the lodge. (gorgeous if you... More

Food was uninspired. While the meats were all properly cooked, the sauces were undistinguished. The accompanying vegetables were tasteless. So called, forbidden rice, was nearly inedible. Both salad and breads were equally missable, with the exception of the prosciutto addition. We had hoped for an "artisanal" culinary experience, but it would appear that honorific applies to the workmanship on the... More

We are not into the foodie movement. We went all in and did a 4-course chefs menu selection. It worked out well with solid wine (small pour) and great local IPA (John Brown). Salads were least enjoyable, appetizers were very good, main meals very substantial, dessert great finish in between we were treated to surprises. Service from a pool of... More

While the presentation of the food was visually appealing the meal left much to be desired. The taste, seasoning and preparation of the food were all off. My saddle of rabbit loin was chewy and rubbery. Many of the root vegetables were almost dried out to the point of inedibility. I think the service was trying to be unobtrusive but... More
