The service and the food both are excellent !we meet our grandsons there for breakfast or lunch when we are up from Fla. They live in the vicinity and it's very homey at the diner your not rushed out if we want to visit after our meal. We love it very clean place as well

This little diner sits on a scenic country route in the Catskills. The food choices were great - I had a greek salad that included feta, anchovies, and stuffed grape leaves that I would highly recommend. The portions are huge, so bring an appetite. The service was friendly and helpful. The diner itself is immaculate. The prices are very, very... More

Yum Yum Yum... I love to come to the diner for long breakfasts. The waiting staff are very kind. I love the biscuits... and the greek salad is great, as well!

Sign on the wall sold and will reopen in a month after august 4th. So service was bad because they were very short staffed

This is our second year of enjoying great food at Barringers. We try to return to the Hudson Valley at least once a year, and discovered this diner-type restaurant last year, when we enjoyed several meals there. This year we planned in advance, and contacted the restaurant owner, so we could gather a large group of friends here for a... More

Barringer's has first rate food. The barley soup hit the spot but was needlessly salty, take that with a grain of salt pun intended, cause at home we cook without or with minimal salt. The salad was crisp and flavorful. Try their Greek dressing, its yogurt based with dill. Chicken was moist and tender. Even the baked potato was more... More

Great selection of foodstuffs, excellent service, and good value. The staff is attentive to special needs. We brought our 99-year-old friend and the staff fell over themselves to make her comfortable. They brought her poached eggs (not on the menu) and generally fussed over her.
