My wife and I were traveling from Saranac Lake in a blizzard when we discovered that they had closed the Northway (I-87) in both directions. We called to see if they had a room available for the night and they did. Old fashioned homey accommodations that were immaculate and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks... More

We enjoyed our pasta meals at the Ausable Inn. Service was friendly and prompt, food was tasty and environment was relaxed.

This place costs a few more bucks than the Diner down the street, but if you want a really enjoyable meal that won't cost a fortune this is the place to go. It is always warm and cozy in there and there is always a fire in the fireplace (at least in the winter). Sometimes the are inexplicably busy so... More

This is the re-incarnation of the Double Eagle restaurant of years ago. A very friendly and cozy atmosphere - including a fireplace for winter days. Menu is pretty good, and eating at the bar is the most fun. People visiting and living in Keene Valley come here throughout the day.

Three of us ate here for $100. The soups were delicious, the chicken wings were the best I have ever had, the onion rings crispy and the pecan pie out of this world. I would go again in a flash. The waiter/chef was helpful and very pleasant.

After a long hiking day we arrived at this inn quite late for dinner - after 8:00 PM. However, the host was friendly and explained that the kitchen was now closed, but we can still order burgers or sandwiches. I ordered a homemade bean burger which came on a bun with lots of fresh veggies! Mmmm, so good! The veggies... More

Came in with some friends and I have to say that it was a very uncomfortable experience. The person that seated us (possibly the owner) was very unpleasant and snotty towards me and my friends. We were seated at a table that was right next to the entrance door and every time someone came in that entrance the door would... More

We were seated by the hostess who took our drink orders, promptly brought them to us and then disappeared. After an hour and seeing other people who arrived after us having their orders taken and receiving their food, we decided that service wasn't running behind or just slow, but that we had been forgotten. We asked a nearby server for... More

My son and I went, loved the duck wings so much, we went back a couple of days later to have them again. A very nice place, with very nice waiters and waitresses.
