Food is excellent, but the service can be very slow during lunch hour. I had the Ox Tail dish with Yellow rice and Sweet Fried bananas alng with a diet coke. They also serve toasted sliced thin hero bread that is very good. Prices are inexpensive.

Small restaurant (ground level) with a large menu and a walk through steam table to go. Tables are a bit close to each other, server personable and the food was spot on. Delicious, flavorful and did not disappoint. Chicharon de pollo was crispy and succulent with rice & pink beans (rosada) y maduro (ripe plantain). Bifstec encebollada was tender, flavorful... More

Roaches, roaches roaches... Smh I suggest if your going to keep dining here, you double, triple check your food. My colleagues and I ordered the exact same thing, half rotisserie chicken and vegetables. So, I'm eating my food and almost to the bottom of the vegetables, a ROACH in the bottom of my food hiding under a piece of broccoli!!... More

Went to have lunch with coworkers. The waitress was not welcoming at all, not even a hello, just, " what would you like." I guess the food was worth putting up with an unwelcoming face. Food was good and service was fast at a reasonable price.

I love this hidden spot ! The upstairs is for diners seeking a more formal setting and the downstairs is extremely casual and for take out! The food is great but all the email servers have the worst attitude unless you are a guy.

We spent the night in Jamaica due to a flight on the next day so we decided to explore around and find a nice restaurant. We came across El Rey and we must say it was definitely a great choice! A large choice of dishes, very affordable prices for an american standard and a very friendly staff made our evening.... More

I eat here frequently Absolutly love the food, given the fact that there aren't any GOOD Spanish restaurants in the area. I've eaten from everything on the menu! All of it is good. The only fall back is the waitresses aren't that helpful or nice unless ur a guy and they can flirt their way to a tip. Overall this... More

I've eaten here many times and the food is always good. The prices are slightly high for the neighborhood and things can be lost in translation when ordering when it's loud and busy. However, it's well worth it to continue experiencing their quality of Dominican cuisine.
