This is a neat place. Food is soooooo good. The view is spectacular. We drive an hour just for the food & the view. Wait staff are very friendly too.

Glenwood is on Route 89 heading north from downtown Ithaca toward Taughannock Falls State Park. It is worth seeking out. The menu is basic, soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch, somewhat more fancy for dinner. I have eaten there many times with family, with friends, or for small business meetings. For you carnivores, their specialty is the Pinesburger, a good... More
Known as the "Pines" this place is on the west side of Lake Cayuga with a great waterfront view. Large bar with separate room for diners decorated in, you guessed it, pine motif. Burgers are the feature here, though other dishes are available. The famed Pinesburger is served on a submarine roll. It is worthy of its reputation. The corn... More
We used to go to the Pines 3-4 times a year and really enjoyed it. After not going for a while, we went last week and fond it changed. The cozy atmosphere and view are still great. The food is not as good and niether is the service. The sandwiches are bare bones with no sides, not even pickles or... More
Great diner type food..corn chowder a must, daily specials and super, stuffed baked potatoes. Casual cozy atmosphere, a few arcade games, fireplace, pool table and plenty of parking. Friendly staff and great views of Cayuga lake!
We went with local friends, and it was a really nice atmosphere. Good food (burgers were juicy, fries were great), and laid back atmosphere. Good place for lunch.
Some friends who grew up locally took us to this restaurant for lunch. A lot of selections on the menu. We three couples and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the haddock sandwich. Excellent onion rings. They serve Ithaca beer.
My wife and I enjoyed this cafe one evening while visiting the region. I had their "famous" burger. She had fried fish. Both were well prepared and tasty. I'd certainly eat there again if the occasion arose.
Great spot for burgers--Friday fish fry--good sandwiches--reasonably priced. Plenty of seating--atmosphere ok but nothing romantic except the pines burger!
