We had lunch one day and dinner on another. Both were very good. The service was a bit slow however. There is an extensive menu and the quality very good and reasonably priced. There are free sun beds so long as you have a drink or meal. They also have beautiful chalets if you fancy staying there. I would certainly... More

I usually eat here at least once every time I visit Gambia. Preference/favourite : Prawn/shrimp salad or chicken salad Nicely presented and freshly made. Good views. Staged events some nights also which you can see while having your evening meal and even get up and shake a leg if you wish. Love the fact that you can also use the... More

A familiar revisit, same staff beach side bar and restaurant, all very efficient and polite under "Big Solomon" watchful guidance. Friendly and helpful without being patronising. Has a bit of an ex-pat feel outside of mass tourist trade times, given the Dutch run bungalow operation at the back. Food as good as ever and prices still very reasonable for a... More

My husband and I have just returned from The Gambia, we stayed at the KUNTA KINTEH Bungalows (which are known as apartments) but in fact are beautiful bungalows only 2 minutes from the glorious Kotu Beach. Having spent 3 weeks in Kerala, India in January which was absolutely disgusting, coming to the Kunta Kinteh was like arriving in paradise. The... More

Loved this restaurant along the beach. Really good service fantastic steak cooked perfectly and really reasonable prices. I wish I had known they had chalets to let before i booked as I would definitely book there. I had a look around one and very good with all mod cons and right on beach. Also have horse riding stables attached and... More

However my concern was the 'bumsters' who hang out in front of it. Bearing in mind the 100m of dark path back to Kotu on an evening I wasn't impressed when one of them asked how much my camera was worth. Answer a couple of thousand including the cash on me. Needless to say I henceforth only used it on... More
