Had lunch with my husband and son on a somewhat cloudy but nice fall day. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view. We all had sandwiches with the bistro's homemade bread and rolls, one word to describe, DELISH!!!!! We had enjoyed the Red Newt wine on previous occasions and it did not disappoint. A very nice lunch... More

A first visit for me but whenever I am in the vicinity I will be back. I was greeted warmly, seated promptly and my order arrived quickly. Service was excellent and prices are good. The view is breathtaking. Housed in the same building is a wine tasting that begs to visited.

We tasted the wine and stayed for lunch. Should have eaten first but it didn't matter. The view is magnificent, the food fantastic and the wine is wonderful.

I am a local resident and former restaurant owner. My wife and I work seven days a week, and I wanted a special place for her birthday dinner. With our busy schedules, we had not been to Red Newt Bistro for dinner in over a year. It was better than we remembered. We dressed fairly casually in an atmosphere, including... More

My husband and I stopped at Red Newt while visiting the area wineries. My husband ordered the apple sausage sandwich which was still somewhat raw. It was returned to the kitchen. Our server did bring him a cup of soup so that he would have something to eat while waiting. When the sandwich was returned it was burnt and indelible.... More

I can't figure out why we seemed to become invisible once we were seated. They were not busy. We sat a good seven or more minutes before our server finally came to take our order...and said to us, "I know you've had a minute or two to review the menu-did you need some more time?" No apology or acknowledgement of... More

To start with our food was excellent - by far the best meal we've had in the region. I had the ravioli appetizer and the duck for an entree - both of which were amazingly good. My friend had the soup of the day and The vegetable souffle which she enjoyed very much. I tried both and agree the soup... More

W went to the Red Newt on a recommendation from a friend who has been to the area a number of times and I can see how it has potential; however, our experience was a near total disaster. Full disclosure, my food was good, perhaps a 3.5-4 out of 5. My wife’s experience was another story. In sum, she ordered... More

A group of four of us stopped in for a late lunch (after 3:00 PM) on a Saturday. The soups, salads and sandwiches were quickly served. They were all excellent and the apparently home made potato chips were over the top. Where else can you get a home made burger with sides for just $10.00? Our server, Bunny, explained that... More

This bistro was recommended to us by several "regulars", so we were anticipating a great meal. It didn't happen, unfortunately. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Pasture Raised Chicken Breast. It was dry and had little flavor except for the taste of the bacon. My spouse had the Finger Lakes Vegetable Manicotti and he too was disappointed with it. Two things... More
