You'll approach the unassuming little house location and wonder what you'll encounter inside. Excellent, friendly service and outstanding food, that's what! Cod done up with panko was excellent and chicken with biscuits will take you back to your childhood---that is, if your mom was the...More

If you want good food, reasonably priced in a one-of-a-kind casual neighborhood restaurant with a lot of local color dating way back, try the Village Inn in the Ferry Village section of Grand Island. Ferry Village (and Ferry Road, of course) dates back to the...More

Good solid food here. Unfortunately for us they had run out of most seafood items and a few of the specials. My husband had the village steak special. Nice sirloin cooked perfect with yummy real smashed potatoes. I had turkey club. Was ok a bit...More

Don't be deterred by the parking or the appearance of a house if it's your first visit. Walked in and was greeted immediately. A young man came by to take my drink order and it was delivered quickly. The daily special board listed a lemon...More

Their soups and salads are awesome. The Lemon -Tabasco Clam Chowder is worth the trip alone. The Wedding Soup is also the best around. With a great lineup of soup and salads, leave room for the entree. They are all delicious as are the deserts....More

Food was very good and service was great. Restaurant is very small and very loud when it gets busy. Tables are close together marking it hard to not hear other conversation. Otherwise, it's good.

Great home made food. Every thing I've ever ordered from there has ways been delicious. Actually our waitress told us that she makes all the deserts from scratch. I couldn't believe it because she listed about 10 pies and a coupleof cheesecakes. 5 stars all...More

The Village Inn is located in the historic Ferry Village in Grand Island, New York. Its quaint, homelike atmosphere and close proximity to the Niagara River make this restaurant a popular meeting place for locals, as well as for those visiting off island. In 1988, owner Michael Carr took over The Village Inn that was previously named Lippens Grill. He changed the name to The Village Inn, which was inspired by his father. With the help of his friends and family, he renovated this 1890's building to make it the cozy eatery that it is today. At The Village Inn, we pride ourselves on creating all of our food from scratch. We are best known for our unique, culinarily adventurous soups as well as baking all of our desserts in house from homemade recipes. From our moist and sweet bread puddings to our spicy lemon tabasco clam chowder, we strive to please all taste buds. The Village Inn has customers from all over the area that come in to experience this one of a kind restaurant. You are sure to enjoy your meal served by our light-hearted, welcoming wait staff while engaging in our distinctive dining atmosphere. All of us at The Village Inn are looking forward to your dining with us while experiencing our historic niche in Ferry Village.
