So great. Food is delicious, wait staff friendly, prices fab. I felt like a local. So nice and friendly. Will certainly go back. Has a classic 1950s diner feel. Quirky decor and lots of chrome. What’s not to love?

It's a shame that when people utilize social media and other public forums, they neglect to assume the responsibility of being fair and accurate in their posts. For this reason, it's is imperative that I respond to this "review". But first, let me give a brief background of what Johnny B's is about. We are a small, humble establishment with only 12 tables open for Breakfast and Lunch only. It follows that we've had to implement some policies to make effective use of these small number of tables during those minimal hours. It's unfortunate, however, that some people will question to great lengths these policies to the point of getting rude, insulting, and at times, threatening. One of our policies, which is clearly posted at the entrance is: "Due to minimal space, you will only be seated when your entire party has arrived." This is both fair and mandated in order to allow for maximum efficiency of the diner, as well as, quite frankly...to stay in business. And for the most part, everyone gets it and completely understands. After all, with the high costs and overhead, as well as only being open for Breakfast and Lunch with few tables, you must look out for yourself. In fact, it is safe to say that 99.9% of everyone entering our establishment adhere to this policy without question. Unfortunately, the other .1% feel some kind of "right of entitlement" and not only question and badger us about it; they will resort to verbal attacks, personal insults and even threats. Which brings us to the incident in question, incorrectly depicted by the above reviewer. The "customers" in question insisted on being seated while their entire party hadn't yet arrived. With only one booth available, my waitress relented and sat them at a table with chairs. After a few minutes, they got up and sat themselves at the last remaining booth. My waitress proceeded to tell them they couldn't sit their and that they were going to get her in trouble with her boss. Yes, it was before Easter- it was Good Friday and we were busy. I wasn't going to allow them to take the last remaining booth while they were waiting for the rest of their party- that's business suicide. So I proceeded to go over and calmly explain that we had already allowed them to wait at the table...they just couldn't wait at the booth. Of course it was questioned for a few minutes; but, while I was waiting for them to move back to the table, they got up and while they were walking to the door I was told that I was rude and didn't know how to run a business. And that was followed with some juicy insults and verbal attacks. I explained to the gentleman that if he didn't agree with out policy, he was welcome to leave. Instead, he continued to swear at me; whereupon, I told him he had to leave. Did it get a little heated after that..yes. Did I react in a way that (for some) may not seem appropriate...yes. And for that I apologize...both sincerely and genuinely. But with that said, I will always stand by, and support my family, my friends and my business (my livelihood). So whenever any of those gets attacked, it is my natural instinct to react. And unfortunately, as some may have witnessed, it may not be the most appropriate reaction. And once again, I humbly apologize for that. But please be certain to know that I am, by no means an instigator. I am a reactionist and definitely do not initiate confrontations. I promise that in the future, my reaction to these types of incidents will be tempered. Like all of you, I'm just here to make an honest living.
