I have been to Spicy Shallot many time, but never get to a review about this Resturant until now. First I love this Resturant, I love to come by here whenever I finish work! I enjoy the Resturant decor, not too modern and not too dull. I do love the wallpaper display, it like you are in Thailand. The food... More

Had lunch here while visiting in elmhurst. Good food and ambience. Tried the lunch menu for $6.95 One large entree with a bowl of chicken wanton soup. Two entrées can be shared by 3 people as we found the portions pretty large.

Food was good; one of the better tasting pad thai dish we've tasted. also good was the tom yum soup with chicken, just spicy enough to make you perspire a bit but very tasty. not really worth a trip, lot of great Thai restaurants... For some reason, I did not expect this restaurant be really good. But it actually is. And it is not only "decently" good, but it's actually really good. Their calamari tastes great - best I've ever had!! And their beef in oyster sauce is delish!! Try the maki combo (forgot the name), too cause it's also delicious. In my 2-week... More

This restaurant is awesome with very authentic Thai food, great service and a awesome menu. Suprisingly also is that they serve sushi as well. Don't know why they need to do that when their Thai menu items are so delish yummy beautifully presented. Portions are very generous and the food tastes great. In this area of Elmhurst there are so... More

The food here is really good. Lately the portions have been getting smaller, but that's because they are so popular and in demand. The staff turnover is somewhat high, but everyone for the most past is really nice. The food is definitely the star attraction. Any dish you order is sure to be a hit. I have been going there...
