Took my husband here tonight for his 30th Birthday meal and we were both very impressed with everything about Smugglers Den. Lovely little cottage setting, with a lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Staff were very friendly, would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic evening with great food. The Smugglers Den is also pet friendly, where... More

As I was meeting my daughter from nearby Newquay Airport, from a flight that landed at 1.15pm, I booked a table for Sunday lunch for us here at 1.45pm. Owing to delays at the airport, we did not arrive until 2pm, but were told thy the friendly staff that lunch is served until 3pm, so our late arrival was not... More

Went here through recomendation and was not dissappointed. I had a chicken, ham and leek pie( with a drink £10 ,pie night ),my wife had the vegetable lasagne ( best one she has ever had, great praise). The pub is a nice country pub,1600's all beams and ingleknook fire places, the staff pleasant and helpfull,a nice experience. Thanks .

The building itself is a beautiful thatched cottage with open fires (which must be delightful in winter) and the staff were extremely friendly. A very homely... More

Another visit here, although it has been a few years for me. Lovely welcome, directed to the Open Fire, it was getting a little nippy. Only problem was, we had the heat of the fire, however every time someone entered the pub we had an icy blast around our legs. That aside we both had ideas of what we were... More

Went there for lunch and ordered a crab sandwich. I asked the girl at the bar if it was fresh crab and was told yes it was. Well when I got my sandwich I was suspicious that it was not fresh, it was dull, tasteless and slushy. When I paid at the bar I asked a male barman if he... More
