During our road trip through Portugal, we accidentally stepped into this bar while visiting the lovely village Cuba. We were the only couple sitting in the garden and were served perfectly by the friendly waitress. Cause we were visiting this place in low season, we did not expect the kitchen to be ready. But it was the total opposite. The... More

Great environment. Very welcoming room with a relaxing vibe. Food is very good, with typical Alentejo dishes. Must try: goat cheese with honey.

It was an amazing discovery in a little village not too far from Beja. An old tavern with magnificent snacks at a reasonable price. If you have the chance to go with a group even better as you can try many traditional Portuguese gastronomy very well done. The house red wine is good and don't miss the deserts.

Stopped in Cuba on the way to the coast. TripAdvisor told us to go to this lovely restaurant in this small town. We were greeted by this super nice waitress. She took good care of us by recommending what to eat and always looking that we had what we needed. Even the other local guests where nice and friendly with... More

What to say? Everything is how it's supposed to be. Great service even better food, good price. The food takes time to arrive but you're in Alentejo, it should be like that! The small patio is a great place to eat when the sun is burning. Dog friendly, always a plus! I'm sure I'll return

My family and I were searching for a local dining experience and we certainly found it nestled in the tiny town of Cuba at Taberna do Arrufa. There were no tourists dining at this restaurant. We were seated and quickly brought the obligatory olives, bread and sardine paste. We ordered a small pitcher of red wine, which we later discovered... More

If you are a foreign and you want to taste the real "Local Food " (comida Alentejana), this is the place to come. CASH only, no credit cards accepted , because they don't have the machine. It's not in Beja city, but it's nearby (Cuba-Alentejo ) It's not expensive and it's very, very good :)
