Had the rope via ja (braised beef, peppers & onions) rice & beans and maduros (plantains) on a tour with Fat Dave and were very impressed. Delicious.

Been here a few times and didn't realize I haven't given review. OMG my bad. This place is awesome Cuban food with great service. I always get the breaded chicken with rice and black beans. It is fantastic. They do have other stuff on the menu. While there on this visit, they pulled out 2 paellas. They smelled wonderful. I... More

We walked here from our hotel last week. The food was amazing and quick service. Had 2 bottles of wine. I'm always uneasy about asking to use public restrooms in NYC but I had to go! Bathroom was in the basement where food was organized, beverages were stacked nicely, it was CLEAN. Bathroom was spacious and clean as well. Waiter... More

the best Cuban food I have ever had here in the borough of Queens. Better yet, NYC. I recently went on a trip to Cuba and this restaurant really set high expectations for me over there. Awesome flavors and soo much plates to choose from. You will not be disappointed, go!

The story behind the brothers who own the restaurant is amazing! This is like going to Havana without the airfare. My favorite dinner is the pork chops served with fresh onions and fried plantains. I have been all over the world and this place is in my top three favorite restaurants. The waiters still wear black jackets and the meals... More

Tried this place bc I heard it was good. Well, they were right. This place was awesome. Really good Cuban food. Take it from me, I've lived in Miami for many years. My fav at this place is the pollo empanizado. Wow, talk about tasty. I was here visiting for TWO weeks and ate here 4 times. I recommend this... More

Authentic Cuban flavor. Excellent tamales, croquetas, maduros and avocado salad. If hungry for Cuban food, this is the place to be. No mojitos which I was not happy about it. However, the sangrias made up for it.

The wait was much shorter than we were informed which was appreciated as our Mom is elderly with a walker & portable oxygen unit. Waiter was friendly & attentive but our beverages came in cans as opposed to glasses with ice. Minor point. I had Ropa Vieja which is shredded beef in tomato sauce with rice & black beans with... Just a few blocks from my parents sits this paradise for Cuban food lovers. While I was there eating, I ran into an old classmate from SJU. She and her husband drove from Jamaica Estates for the food. Does that tell you something?
