I come here most every Friday for fish. Hayes is BOTH a restaurant AND a Fish Market! Has been in Buffalo I believe over 100 years. Besides the everyday menu board, they have daily specials. Their clam chowder (Red and White) are about the best you can get, and they have the best Lobster Bisque in Buffalo. What I like... More

Food is great wish they had table service , would be much nicer. Price is also good for the quality of the food.

Hayes isn't a restaurant where one is seated and a server takes your order. You walk in and place your order at a counter. Good luck with that though. Not because of the service, but because the menu choices are amazing. They have an endless choice of fresh seafood. They also have non seafood for those who prefer to eat... More

Yes I am from New England originally and we say "Chowda" so I know great New England Clam "Chowda" and Hayes is Fabluous! The NY Clam Chowder is very good as well. and the Fish Fry & fried Shrimp is always great. We have only taken our food home and not dined in but the lady at the register is... More

Next to meeting the fishermen's catch of the day, this is it! It has been a staple for fresh, quality fish for as long as I can remember. Will not disappoint.

If you're a fan of soft shell crabs, then you have to check out Hayes. My wife likes them sautéed, but I prefer them fried. Either way, they're delicious. Start the meal with a dozen oysters and life is really, really good.

Have been a long time customer of Hayes. Every time is as good as the last. Today I had grilled swordfish. My husband had the seafood platter. Delicious all around. You order at the counter and take a seat at a table and the servers find you. All the fish is fresh and perfectly prepared. Beer and wine only. Also... More

A long time local fish market that has now moved to Clarence. Very crowded on Fridays, reminiscent of Buffalo Fish Fry places. Take out is convenient and tasty, fresh selection of fish not usually found in larger chain supermarkets. Price is not cheap but you don't leave hungry.

The decor is sea/water themed but casual. Very clean eating area and rest rooms. I took my mom and we both ordered the fish fry. They have a large selection of fish/seafood items, only a couple of choices for non-seafood persons. The fish fry was slightly more than you would pay in other places - about 2 or 3 dollars... More

We have been going here for fish dinners about once a week for the past several months. The haddock fish dinners have been exceptional each and every time! The fish is consistently super fresh and delicious. The fries hot and the cole slaw tangy and tasty. The staff have been so friendly too! In fact the cashier even asked our... More
