Dalai Java roasts all of their own beans, and these guys know what they are doing! Each different type of coffee has a distinct character, and all of them are awesome! This is the only place that I buy my coffee beans from. The service at the counter is always friendly and knowledgeable, and now that their new space is... More

I was visiting from Rochester and went there based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. The young man there was courteous and proficient. He recommended spicy mocha latte which was excellent. I'll definitely go back next time. The store is moving soon "down the street."

My husband and I enjoyed our spiced pumpkin and almond joy lattes. The barista was very kind and offered suggestions for activities in the area. Unfortunately, seating is extremely limited to 2 small tables.

I like to support local whenever I can. This place has good and strong brews. A bit hard to find, as it sets off the street just a bit. I recommend for those who like a slow pour or are coffee snobs.

Most places don't cold brew their iced coffee. I found this place by dumb luck and was so delighted. This was the only thing I ordered, but they had a full coffee menu and some baked goods. If you're into coffee, I would check this place out.

Lovely coffee in Canandaigua. I don't bother with Starbucks, so we had been missing espresso for a few days. Good coffee is very difficult to find in this area! Dalai Java is a cute little spot! I had an iced latte with almond or something... It was very tasty, with nice bold espresso, creamy but not too sweet. My love... More

The Dalai Java coffee is simply the best coffee around! I recommend this coffee shop to anyone planning a trip to Canandaigua. Great coffee, great service, nice people and great prices.

This is one of the easier places to miss in town because it sits back off of Main Street, but it would be a mistake to not stop in. This is a small privately owned coffee shop that does coffee right. They purchase local products, and they make all of their consumables in house. We get something new every time... More

No, seriously, it's the best coffee in upstate New York. I can't say enough good about Dalai Java, their baristas, and the sustainable practices in which they take part. I travel all over the country for work, and haven't been able to find iced coffee that comes anywhere near the flavor profile and quality of Dalai Java. They roast in... More

Stopped in while in town for a few days. Great coffee (shame it is so far from our hotel!). Bought some ground coffee as we'll and looking forward to getting home and trying it. Fair trade, small batch, roasted and ground onsite. Wonderful staff. Highly recommended- we will be by every day while we are here!
