When you want to eat homemade food like your grandmother, always the same flavor, they have the best mofongo ever, you don't even need the sauce. I go there at least once per month.

Joe's Place, in the Parkchester Area of the Bronx ,prepares delicious authentic Puerto Rican dishes like the ones your mother makes. The atmosphere is very Hispanic with music of different genres from musicians of different Latin countries. This restaurant can be enjoyed by everyone be it a couple ,a family, a social gathering etc.. The service is magnificent. I whole... More

I have not visited the Bronx for some time. This was one of those times I did not mind getting lost. Wonderful dinner and worth the few dollars. The pepper steak, sweet plantains and the beans were out of this world. I suggest you get lost. I spoke to a few people in the restaurant about Ambitvip.com and wrote the... More

My granddaughter raves about this establishment due to the Batida's de Mamey, so we go on a Saturday late afternoon, just to please her. The place is nicely decorated and quite expansive considering location and smallish front entryway. We are seated away from a busy front crowd to a rear room. We are brought menu's and our drinks are ordered,... More

I've been to Joe's Place numerous and never had a complaint. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I was used to paying $125 to $175 meals in Manhattan. I find Joe's Place serves the same dishes at half the price. Those looking to complaint, I would like to recommend the castillo blanco restaurant, also known as 'White... More

I use to frequent this establishment at least twice a week. The prices are a bit higher than comparable restaurants, and portions are smaller. The food was always very tasty and enjoyable though which made it worth the trip. The last few times (about 4) that I went there, the food semed a bit less than satisfactory. We ordered steak...
