We were really looking forward to trying the Lamb Shanks, but unfortunately they were out of stock. Decided on the Springbok potjie and the Seafood pasta. Both were delicious!

A group of us took over the restaurant and it felt like we were part of the family. All our needs were catered for and nothing was a hassle for our hosts. The food was really tasty and it did feel like we went back in time, where you don't feel like a customer, but a long lost friend that... More

Great host in Mike and a lovely Karoo lamb shank for dinner which melted in the mouth. Met a very nice couple from Melbourne and thoroughly enjoyed the food and conversation. Do try it if you're in Barrydale.

Mike was very welcoming on a quiet winters night. This restaurant is always open and serves really good home cooked food, wood fired pizza, with hospitality to match. The butter chicken was fantastic and venison potjie tender. Not licensed but you are welcome to bring your own wine. A really enjoyable evening, thank you.

This little spot certainly made our trip to Barrydale memorable - the homemade woodfired pizzas were amazing, and we were so gladly welcomed by Mike! Also has amazing coffee! Thanks for the great time Mike, we'll definitely be back again, Divya & Dean

Recommended by our guest house we visited on a quiet Wednesday night with just one other couple eating. Mike welcomed us and made us feel very welcome. He and Bev seem to have a passion for what they do and this shines through. The food was excellent (others have mentioned the wonderful Butter Chicken) and alongside this great food is... More

Mike and Bev are positively the two most hospitable people you can find. Thanks for the history lesson Mike. Hope to see you guys before you move. Fortune & Belinda
