Great breakfast burritos! I recommend the sausage breakfast burrito with red chile. Same menu as the Monte's towards the center of Taos (two locations).

Roberta was a great hostess and brought energy and a smile to our day. The fried zucchini is fresh and thick chips. Delicious and the Friday special — Openfaced green chili cheeseburger - was great. Kind and fast service. A great spot for lunch.

This is not your usual Mexican breakfast of huevos rancheros. All the Mexican breakfast selections featured green chile. We sampled a breakfast burrito and breakfast enchilada plate. Both came with hash brown potatoes and pinto beans. The burrito was stuffed with smothered in green chile as we're the enchiladas. Both were huge, rich and flavorful. There are other non-Mexican options on the menu too if you prefer.

La Cocina changed the name to Mante's Chow Cart. We visited the SouthSide Mante's Chow Cart for dinner. I absolutely love the Trujillo but decided to get the Indian Taco with red and green chili. The staff was friendly and the process are reasonable. The menu is eclectic and there are many original items. I recommend this restaurant.

La Cocina has the most delicious and consistent quality food in Taos. The very best Northern New Mexico or true Taos food in Town. The Chile Rellenos are outstanding. The Chicken Fried Steak is amazing. They also make the best green Chile cheeseburger in Taos! The owner and her staff are simply outstanding. If you visit Taos and don’t dine at La Cocina you are really missing out!

Food was fresh and tasty. Chips and salsa excellent. We were there for lunch and it was very busy, so service was a bit lacking, but one could understand.

The Fiesta Salad was delicious. I had the beef and my husband had the chicken. I loved the Lime Margarita. Emileah, our waitress was excellent. She was bussing tables, hostessing and waitressing all by herself. It was also so convenient to our hotel.

I was staying at the Hampton Inn a couple of blocks away and La Cocina was recommended by the staff. So I walked up the hill at about 4 pm so had the restaurant to myself since it was late for lunch and early for dinner. The Chile Relleno really looked good on the menu so I ordered it. It comes with red or green chili so I made it look like Christmas and ordered both. It was served with beans and posole and was absolutely incredible. This is home made New Mexico style and not like you’d get at a typical Mexican restaurant. If I lived in Taos this would be my go to place. The meal was served with Sopopillas for dessert but being in piggy mode I also brought two Macadamia cookies and cheesecake back to my room. Tomorrow is diet day! LOL The food and service at La Cocina is unbelievable! I highly recommend you give it a try!

La Cocina can get busy so we got there a little early for lunch. Our dishes were excellent and plenty large portions. The lady who attended to us was super friendly and most gracious. Very good classic new mex food.

We had come upon this place after searching for open dinner places in Taos. We were tired of searching and pulled in and said we'd give it a shot. They have a combination of Mexican and American food choices. The food was really good and the waiter (Julio) was super nice, attentive and funny. The portion sizes were way bigger than we expected. It was a great experience!

The La Cocina de Taos is a pleasant but not at all fancy sit-down restaurant on the south end of Taos. The prices were reasonable and the food was above average. I would return.

My husband and I were staying at the Hampton Inn which is about 2 minutes down the road so we decided to give La Cocina a try for dinner. Food was good and plentiful. I had chicken fajitas and my husband had the blue corn tacos with beef. We both really enjoyed our dishes and a special mention for the best refried beans I've ever had. Prices were reasonable and our waiter Julio was great. Friendly and very nice. Worth a try if you're in the outer Taos area.

This is a very nice, locally owned place. We love to go there for breakfast, as do a lot of locals. Good food, service and prices.
