Great food, staff was very nice, order came out as specified in a timely fashion! The views here simply can not be beat by any other bar or restaurant in town!

We stopped here on a weekday afternoon to grab a bite to eat. We both had a blue cheese burger and fries. They were pretty darn good. The entrance into the bar is pretty sweet. And the radio station embedded in the room is really cool. The atmosphere at KTAO is definitely family-friendly. This is a place locals hangout at... More

One of the fun things about visits to Taos is tuning into KTAO radio once you get within range and enjoying the tunes. So the idea of chilling with an adult beverage at their station and hearing live bands here sounds great. Maybe it was just the day I came, but there was no music playing in the bar (it... More

Bustling place with great musical acts. A little more than typical bar food and great sound and sense of community. Local beers available too.

Went to the FREE live Monday night live music where they record the show for broadcast the following Sunday evening, Place full of locals who clearly know a good deal, all ages, some came for dinner some just for the music. Great music (Rolling Stones the night we visited), atmosphere, excellent beer and food (nothing fancy just well cooked Burgers... More

After our hike to Williams Lake, some folks on the trail told us about the great Happy Hour prices and that it would be fine to stop by in our hiking clothes as it is a casual bar. It was fun to see the On Air sign in the radio station booth. And we had a great view of Taos... More

This is the only totally solar-powered radio station...with its own bar and restaurant. In fact, the glassed-in (and one would assume soundproof) broadcast booth is in the restaurant/bar area. The show is broadcast into the room, with the big screen TVs on mute. There is an outside eating and volleyball area, too, but it was a bit too windy to... More

We were here with some friends for a show. Its cool that you can see where they are on the radio from the bar. I had their pork tacos and they were delicious!!!! My husband had a Philly cheese steak and he said it was the best one he's had!! Would definitely go back if in Taos again!!

We stopped at the bar at KTAO after a long drive. It's in a great location, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Our appetiser was fine. The sodas tasted fine. Our cheeseburgers with green hatch chili were delicious. The radio station booth is behind glass right in the dining area.

We stopped on our way back from skiing. Perfect! Beer $3. Burger for $5. Great scenery and you get to listen to great music being played. Friendly staff. A must stop.

Description
The KTAOS Solar Bar is the place to meet friends for happy hour, enjoy a variety of live music acts, dig into authentic tacos, and of course bring out-of-town guests. The KTAOS Solar Bar offers an unparalleled bar experience, framed by two operating radio stations. All that separates bar patrons from the live solar-powered radio broadcast are large panels of quarter-inch glass. The KTAOS Solar Bar's indoor lounge area and solar-powered radio stations can only be matched by the huge, rolling backyard lawn that borders the Taos Pueblo lands, offering spectacular views of the sacred Taos Mountain.
