I ordered a cheese enchilatas with red sauce. There was a minimal amount of cheese, loads of HOT red sauce, and extremely overcooked rice. The service was friendly, but she did not bring our check in a timely manner. I do not recommend this place.

I was expecting better for a local favorite in New Mexico. My taco salad was a slim layer of lettuce on top of a fried tortilla bowl of chicken and beans and there was no lime with my Tecate beer. I did enjoy the 1L of iced tea and the refill hydrated me again after a long day in the... More

The dining area is big & open & you just help yourself to any available seat. We had live cowboy music at 6pm, but not obtrusive. Food was mouthwatering delicious!

Exceptional chilli relanos. Refried beans and potatoes made from scratch, their excellent quality shows. Old school, no frills dining area. Clean restaurant with spotless bathrooms.

We had been out to Bosque del Apache and had come in for lunch on a very chilly day. Soup sounded good so my husband and I had the Posole soup and the other couple had full meals. The Posole was excellent..... Hot, lots of meat and hominy, and it was spicy. The other couple indicated that the food was... More

We stopped by on our way through town on a late Sunday morning. The place was packed and there was a live band playing country music. I worried that it would be a long wait. It wasn't. Waitstaff was very attentive and the food was good! We had two of the smothered lunch burrito plates; one carne adovada smothered in... More

People at our motel told us to eat here. Waitress kind of steered us to the burgers, but were can get a burger anywhere. We opted for the chicken burrito with half red and half green sauce, rice and beans. Rice - way over cooked, beans about normal, but the burrito I was disappointed in. Instead of being filled with... Our food- (eggs, hash browns, gravy- things that were supposed to be hot!) came out cold. Server asked how things were, and I said it was cold. She did offer to heat it, but I declined as I had no interest in microwaved hash browns. The entire time, the server was rude- borderline mean. Only reason we tipped was for... More

Went in two days in a row. Wish I was going to be in town longer so I could go to this place more. Love the green sauce
