My friend and I were looking for something new in town and we discovered this place online. What a find! Quaint, great casual/fun vibe, and the menu is very unique. Everything we had tasted amazing! Try the pimento cheese sandwich, the raspberry cheesecake, and the pasta. Can't wait to eat here again!

It was lunchtime when we arrived in Ruidoso from Albuquerque, and thanks to fellow Tripadvisors, we stopped at the Village Buttery for lunch. Comfy, cozy, and the best soups in the world. It is not open for dinner, so don't miss it if you're in town for lunch.

Great lunch spot - nice outdoor patio (pet friendly) - good service and good soups and sandwiches. Call ahead and order a buttermilk chess pie - they freeze great too!

I'm a local. This is a lovely place for brunch/lunch; sandwiches, soups, salads, quiche, dessert. All of their food is very good, but where I spend most of my $$ with them is ordering their absolutely wonderful homemade pies for Thanksgiving & Christmas - to die for. They have a buttermilk pie that is much talked about around here, famous!!... More

I went with friends from out of town at 2pm on a Saturday. Apparently they close at 2:30. Theven wait staff was very short with our group. I'd hesitate before returning next time.

This is a quaint little sandwich shop. Great food and great service. We shared a breast of turkey on a croissant and it was excellent.

Please don't tell my buddies, but I had the green chili cheddar quiche. Yum Yum. Wife had tuna sandwich and enjoyed it. Wait staff was pleasant. Gotta leave with one of their cookies. You order at the counter here.

I stopped in for lunch in June and had their green chile quiche. It was so good, I returned with my wife in July. That time I had their tomato soup and cheese sandwich. That was even better than the quiche. This place does an excellent job combining simplicity and creativity. They make classics really well. We also enjoyed that... More

Great food. Outstanding staff. Be sure to have some of Elliot's home made pie. Very down home atmosphere. This restaurant is a must visit in Ruidoso.
