We went there for dinner and actually enjoyed a very nice dinner! My wife ordered the flounder special as recommended by many and yes, it's good. Well cooked and served with tasty vegetables. For my part I had the pork chop a la carte and besides the pimientos, which I don't care for, it was great. We ended the meal... More

This is a family-owned restaurant that is largely Italian food. The location and building do not give the impression of being such a great place but walk through the door and you'll be surprised how wonderful it is. We were in Ranchos de Taos just before Christmas and stayed at the Aspen & Pines B&B. We were so tired the... More

I am offering this review from the viewpoint of a vegetarian. There is usually one vegetarian main dish on the regular menu. Usually, there is also a special that can be used as a main vegetarian dish. So, if you go occasionally, you will enjoy it. If you want to eat there more frequently, you will eat the same one... I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, when I have traveled to Taos. I have seen it through some rough patches but still love coming here, for many reasons. This last time, in November, I came for lunch, which was very good. My friend and I noticed they now serve a Sunday brunch so we decided to... More

This restaurant has a long history and is supported by a couple of really good chefs A great variety of foods can be tasted at this buffet. You can also order standard breakfast, all... More

You can't help but to love this classic Italian restaurant located in a centuries old trading post. The food is always spot on. Sadly Chef Rene passed on but you can feel his life force every where you look and in all the food. This lovely restaurant/ Art gallery is a must visit when in Taos. If you are lucky,... More

I've eaten here a dozen or so times - most recently yesterday for lunch. The food is creative, fresh and simply tastes good. The choices range from healthy to indulgent. The service is always friendly and it's a great alternative when you're looking for something besides the local cuisine. A good choice for lunch or dinner.

We have passed this restaurant many times. Decided to stop tonight. Very N. NM atmosphere, fire crackling, and had a very obviously historical ambient setting. The food is really homey and delicious. The homemade bread is to die for, and they sell loaves to go.The waiter knew by heart the long list of Specials. I had the Rosemary Chicken which... More
