This restaurant, which seems to be called simply "The Plaza Dining Room," is in the historic Plaza Hotel on Las Vegas, NM's plaza. My main course--baked lobster--was a special, not on the menu, while my wife's, baked salmon, was. Both were outstanding: tasty and well prepared with excellent vegetables. For dessert we had flan, which was one of the best... More

A lovely space and wonderful food. Be sure to try the Huevos Rancheros with Christmas sauce. The best of both worlds!

the restaurant is worthwhile visiting and probably the best restaurant in town. Breakfast and dinner are both very good

The salmon was great...service very good...would have given 5 bubbles but I think they're missing the mark with ambience...they need a decorator :-) I think if they played up the rustic theme in the restaurant and bar it would help...the Occidental Hotel in Buffalo, WY comes to mind :-)

Elegant and sumptuous meal in the 100 plus year old Plaza Hotel (an amazing, breath place to stay, but that's another review) Turns out there is a new owner since I was here 5 years ago, when the service and food both left something to be desired. This time, I'm swooning! Era stuttering decor, wonderful menu including beef, pork and... More

The Plaza's restaurant has another new chef and he seems to be popular enough that we were turned away on a Friday night for dinner. No big deal, so today I stopped by for lunch. Southwestern decor, spotlessly clean, friendly servers were all observed. Ordered a chicken cobb salad which tasted fine and was nicely plated. The menu offers both... More

All of the staff in this restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Our meals, especially the Mariscada, were wonderful. Also, the chef, Amaury Torres was gracious to stop by our table to discuss our dining experience.

No need to go anywhere else in town. Service, food and atmosphere. We ate breakfast and dinner each visit.

Ordered the chile relleno plate to split and then each ordered a cup of green chile stew. It was such a large "cup" of soup we even split that and still couldn't finish. And the flour tortillas that came with the stew, hot perfectly charred and wonderfully textured. Wish I could import the meal every time it gets cold!
