Have tried Breakfast and Lunch. Both were just great- love the decor and service - ordered the tacos with their "cheese" shells vs the traditional Corn tortilla = great! We'll make this a certain stop when traveling near!

We stopped at Charlie's on our way from Denver to Santa Fe. It's a classic looking American diner right down to the turquoise, blue, green, and red and white bench seats. Great food choices from Southwest to burgers to breakfast all day and my personal choice Chicken Fried Steak. Oh and the baked goods are fresh and plentiful. FRESH TORTILLAS!!!!

Though breakfast was a bit slow, it was definitely worth the wait! My husband had the "machaca," and it was delicious. But I had the "stuffy" with sausage and avocado as the side instead of potatoes. Amazing!

Good service and a comprehensive menu with big portions. Interesting decor reminds of 60s diners. Service was fast too at around 2.30 pm on a Wednesday.

Recommended by numerous locals, Charlie's Spic'n'Span is a real throwback to colorful vinyl booths, kitschy signage, and excellent service. The bakery offerings looked HUGE and were obvious local favorites. The food was very good and large portions. We were a bit disappointed that there was no fresh fruit on the menu. We like fruit with our breakfast, and you can't... More

I try to visit the restaurant when I am in Las Vegas visiting relatives. This time we went for lunch and I ordered chili relleno. The waiter asked me if I wanted a platter or not. I asked him what the difference was and he said the single is one chili relleno, the platter is three. I'm glad I opted... More

Wowzer on the size of the donuts and cream puffs and longjohns and cinnamon rolls and fritters! And mincemeat empanadas...what a surprise! Bought sugar cookies and anise-cinnamon cookies, too. Tortillas looked great, but we weren't cooking in this trip. Thank goodness we ate breakfast here first before browsing the bakery cases, or we'd have pigged out for sure. Had a... More

We stopped for a quick snack during a day trip to town. The sopapilla was greasy, not at all light and fluffy, and not cooked in the middle, the dough was still raw. A cookie purchased out of the fresh case was hard and crunchy, hardly fresh, as if it had been there for at least 2 days. The food... More

I don't live in Vegas. But visit monthly. Never been disappointed in service or food or atmosphere. Must go. Must do.

We had the opportunity to stop in at Charlie's Bakery and Cafe twice last week while we were travelling through Las Vegas, NM. The service was top notch: efficient, thorough, and friendly. The food was second to none! And .... CHECK OUT THOSE CREAM PUFFS! I'm still having flashbacks!
