Stopped in for lunch after noticing the parking lot was always full. I had the taco Tuesday special, they were great! We were going to have the home made flan but, were full. The waiter playfully said he could wrap it to go. Stop by for a good meal at a good price.

This place popped up on our GPS "points of interest" under restaurants as we were crossing New Mexico and we gave it a try. Who knew we'd lucked out and found a gem! Food and service were great. Love, love, love the green chile sauce there. Place was busy at lunchtime but everyone, including folks eating there were so friendly... More

Johnny's was easy to find, offered parking, and at 4 p.m. On a Sunday afternoon was enjoying a lull. We were greeted warmly. Menu is huge; but we settled on the enchiladas and huevos rancheros. Both plates were packed with extras; beans, posole, and we were offered a basket of sopapillas. The posole was outstanding.

This place is a treasure! We all ordered Mexican food which was the best of the best I have ever had! Family owned and family proud. The grandson of Johnny and Lucy waited on us and he was kind and fast and helpful with the menu. Coming again the next time we travel from Colorado to New Mexico. In fact... More

The place was packed on Sunday at 11:30. Probably the only non-locals in the place. The help was attentive but not overly so....Lucy's taco was amazing....wish I could have eaten twice as I wanted the Dirty Taco, too. Philly cheese steak was made with steak-ums, but I didn't eat it.....the peppers, onions, cheese and nice bun made up for that... More

Tried for dinner on a trip through Las Vegas. Thumbs up from my better half on the chile rellano and sopapillas. The "Dirty Tacos" (the corn tortillas are fried with cheese on the outside, then stuffed with a choice of meat, salsa, etc.) were a first for me...tasty but a little bit more oily than I prefer. Great waitress!

Chips and salsa are extra and store bought. Pretty sure the salsa was pace. Green Chile enchiladas were good, I'm used to Las Cruces food so I wasn't impressed but the food was satisfying enough for a road trip stop.

First stop. Won't be the last. We had three different items. Each was delicious. The posole was fabulous. The green chili was quite good, but the red was amazing. The sopapillas were some of the best I've had in years. I'll go back.

If the local population supports a restaurant, that is a clue for me that it has to be a place to try. Eat there we did and were pleased. The place is clean and quaint. The service was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The food was tasty, plentiful, and reasonably prices. There was even enough parking on the street for our... More

Las Vegas NM is a dusty little town in the middle of nowhere NM and this is a bright spot with beyond excellent food & great service! I think the original owner passed away as I noticed that the decor in the bathrooms had changed out, but other than that, A+ all the way! I *always* make it a point... More
