This is a must try in the area. The custard comes chocolate or vanilla and the options are endless. The raspberry ice teas have real raspberries and the hot dogs have my favorite in town. The salted pecans are a must try as well.

Delicious, friendly, large variety of options in flavors and topping. The only "disappointment " (for lack of a better term) is the Rocky Road had marshmallow cream and not marshmallows but it was delicious.

I've been coming to Caliche's since 1998. Anytime I'm near by for work or pleasure I will detour through Las Cruces to stop here. Not to mention, I love introducing co-workers to Caliche's awesome frozen custard. My two favorite sundaes are their signature "Green Chili" sundae and their "Chipotle Cherry" chocolate sundae. Doesn't sound tasty?? I dare you to try... More

If you like custard or simply have never had it, this is the place to go. First timers, you will not regret it. Even just a single cup with vanilla will satisfy your taste buds.

I grew up on custard, and it is very hard to find. I am spending one night in Las Cruces, and the girl at the hotel suggested Caliches when I asked about ice cream. They are definitely a huge upgrade from dairy queen, and have all kinds of choices of milkshakes and toppings. Me, I was happy to have pumpkin... More

The list of caliches and sundaes is dazzling. Finally settled on a Gizmo with chocolate custard(carmel and salted pecans with a cherry). Very decadent. Good thing they are not cheap or I would have gone back for more. A very nice touch is the free poochie cone with a purchase. Our Golden Retriever really enjoyed it. Have to eat in... More

I know they have many other items besides the root beer float, but I love them so much, I have yet to try anything else. It brings back childhood memories, and tastes as good or better than anything I remember. The price is just as amazing, 99 cents for a regular, or $1.98 for a large. What a bargain. Fabulous!

...for a 50's style drive in. Broad menu. Appears popular with locals. I prefer Sonic. No real eating area--except for a wall.
