Hungry for green chilies, we hunted down this hopping little place through Roadfood, and it was worth it. Family owned & operated for 50 years, food was amazing and everyone so friendly. Highly recommended.

There are many places in Las Cruces with food at least as good. The place is kind of a dump. The service was indifferent. I wouldn't go back.
Our friends wanted to take us to a unique traditional Mexican lunch place and they nailed it. Each dish put on the table was wonderful, we had to share all of each others and it was great. Small place but big on greatness.

We weren't in the 11 am line so the 5 of us had a short wait to be seated. The service was attentive, the food was fabulous, the prices were modest. Pork nachos yummy, good guacamole, spiced just right all around.
The food is always good. You can order enchiladas red and green and pick the one you like the best. Good chips and salsa. I like juevos rancheros.
I had lunch here with a business colleague on a recent trip through Las Cruces, based on a recommendation from a friend. I guess Nellie’s is a long-standing locals kind of place, and it is sort of off the beaten track. We were probably the...More
Wonderful traditional Mexican food. A small, family owned restaurant it's still one of the best of Las Cruces. We had a large group, but called ahead for reservations and after a short wait, we were seated and served many individual orders in a reasonable timed.
