We have eaten here several times over the years when traveling through Cimarron, and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitress we had this past visit was just a delight and did a great job. The hotel/restaurant have done some remodeling and it shows very nicely. My husband had the burrito, and I had the enchiladas and both were very... More

I just had a burger, but it was very good. Fries were top-notch... But the best part: the history. Being in a place & walking through the same halls where , Jesse James, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Annie Oakley & many other famous (and infamous) western icons walked was the highlight for me. This is a must-see for any history-lover...... More

Well located close by the covered market "les halles" in a nice environment with plenty bars and restaurants, this hotel was perfect to spend few days. Clean and basic rooms and bathroom, it's not the place you spend your day inside but was perfect to walk around an have nice places around for the evenings.

Was visiting Wagon Mound and ventured scenic north to Philmont and Cimarron. Per recommendation from family member, me and my companions stopped for lunch in this historic place. I had the Hanger Steak w/fries and asparagus. Plus, a cold Nut Brown IPA. Perfectly cooked and paired w/ the beer. Took a little while to stroll around the grounds and museum.... More

I've been here three times now, each before or after a trek in Philmont, which is where the place gets a good deal of business during the summer months. Atmosphere has always been fun, I watched the 2016 NBA Finals last time I was here and everyone was excited and having a good time (except they were all Warriors fans... More

We have eaten in the restaurant several times and the variety and quality of food is always excellent. For our most recent visit we also spent the night in the room Jesse James stayed in and we had a great experience. In addition to Jesse James, the list of famous people who stayed or frequented the saloon (which still has... More

Meal was wholesome and served by a delightful friendly helpful waitress. The restaurant was basic with plain tables and chairs and was partially included into the bar area which was pretty nice as that was the original bar room where there are still bullet holes in the ceilings from gunfights of the 1800's..Also had the original roulette table on display in... Love going to eat here all of the meals are good (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The atmosphere is cool to with a lot of local art and cowboy artifacts on the walls. Be sure to check out the old bullet holes in the ceiling of the bar area.

This historic old hotel is located in the center of Cimarron, a short distance off of Route 64 (and just a few minutes from Philmont Boy Scout Camp which is on the edge of town). When we arrived at lunch hour on a Saturday, it was our misfortune to get there a few minutes after a large busload of people.... More

We loved the walking tour of the James, which is just a couple of blocks off the highway thru town. There's not much left of the old Cimarron, except for the St James--and it is really cool! The first floor rooms are roped off but the doors are open, and preserved as they were in the 1880s--where Bat Masterson, Wyatt... More
