A very scenic drive from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. About halfway there is the town of Madrid which has several shops to browse. Watch for the Cattle caution signs with a flying saucer above the cow.

This road between Tijeras and Santa Fe is a delight to drive. The views are spectacular and the town that you pass are worth a visit. The speed limit goes down to 20mph in the town of Cerrillos where it is lined with artist galleries....More

This is a must do drive. We stopped in Madrid for coffee and turquoise shopping! Make sure you find the musical road at the beginning of this drive, America the Beautiful!

A pleasant drive from east of Albuquerque to Santa Fe, with a stop at Golden. Lovely trading post, great Native American jewelry, pots, kachinas and other things. Very well priced.

While this road is not perfect, it was a pleasant alternative to interstate travel that can suck the adventurer out of you. We had time to stop at Burger Boy in Cedar Crest, a family-owned 60s burger stand with reasonable prices and Tinkertown, which is...More

We took the Turquoise Trail from Santa Fe as we headed south. It's a nice ride, with little traffic, and some nice views. The town of Madrid is worth a stop.
