A great stopover between Thimphu & Punakha. Hot Tea & Coffee along with some yummy sweets. The view of the mountains as you sip your favourite beverage is something out of this world. We got lucky as we had snowfall on the way to Punakha and a clear bright sunny day on the way to Paro. The 108 Stupas are... More

When I visited Dochula pass and its nearby temple, I treated myself with a warm suja in this hotel. Inside it's warm and staffs were helpful.

If you want to enjoy the view of a snowfall mountain, I would recommend you to take a early morning break at Dochula Cafeteria lodge while travelling from Thimphu to Punakha. From that pass you have more chances of seeing the Himalayan mountains in the early morning. If the sky is clear, you'll see the whole range of the mountains,... More

Unfortunately the weather was atrocious when we visited the Dochula Pass so we didn't see any of the spectacular views other reviewers mention. We were very glad to stop here to get warm by the wood burning stove and have a hot drink and biscuits. I expect the views from the restaurant would be amazing on a fine day. The... More

This is just exactly at Dochula pass. A very good restaurant to have lunch after reaching there. Food is very good and cheap.

As one drives from Thimpu to Punakha, one can see this on the left near the 108 memorial chortens. One can sit in the cafeteria and see the Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan. Food is decent and is good for a quick bite.

On your left when you arrive from Thimphu!! This cafe will serve as a lifeline is the weather outside is inclement! nice interiors with good service! and they have hot stones on and around a "central" fire place.

Though food menu was made available, they said it will take not less than an hour to prepare veg meals as per menu. They were serving only tea and coffee along with biscuits. They charge 10% tax and 10% service charge. Toilet facilities were clean and available for customers.

This is the one restaurant which has best scenic view I have ever had in my life. While passing through dochula pass and going through one of the most dizzying road travel, you ought to stop at this place, take a breath in cool Himalayan air and sip in the refreshing tea / coffee or anything you want with a... We had coffee and biscuits 2 times here. Not to mention used their washrooms as well. Clean place and value for money. Enjoy the views and take rest before moving on to your next destination :)
