Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It has been a while since my last visit to Cafe 16. The place still looked the same which is nice. Our group of 9 persons occupied the biggest table in this restaurant. The service is not improved since my last visit. The place offered some selection of imported wines and beer at affordable price tag. Air conditioning is not working well nor setting temperature is too high.

Café Sixteen is a local fusion restaurant offering a range of Thai spices and ideas mixed with European style and presentation. Their spicy garlic spaghetti with bacon is a powerful dish for those who like to play with different cuisines. The dried chilies give it a real kick, where the bacon and black pepper take it back to the original Italian classic you ordered.
What this dish lacks in size, it more than makes up for in quality and originality. Very reasonably priced at just 90 baht.
The restaurant itself is a lovely (if not cliché) café similar to so many places that are appearing throughout Korat, but Café Sixteen seems to offer a little more genuine class. The décor matches the theme and there is a real sense of being somewhere else when you go in. Aircon inside is a bonus for the summer months, and an outdoor seating area with plants and comfortable cushioned benches and coffee tables is available out the back.
Try going for lunch, dinner, coffee or drinks.

We had a wonderful meal here one night. When we got there we were warmly greeted by the staff and it was no problem that we asked to sit out side even though they had already appointed us a table inside.
As soon as we went out they bought us our own fan and mozzie repellent as it was a warm night - 2 things we really appreciated!!
The restaurant is eclectically decorated with all sorts of random things but it works so well. The outdoor garden area was beautiful to sit in.
The food was great and came out really quickly... and the kids were stoked with their gigantic Sprites (they've never had a drink so big!)
So for around 1000 Baht, 4 of us ate, had drinks and coffee and frappes at the end. We left after having a fun conversation with the staff (their English very limited). They were very friendly and overall we had a fantastic evening.
I would recommend Café 16 very highly!

Very poor service, many items on the menu unavailable. It wasn't busy but still had to wait a considerable length of time for service. Very poor overall, there are many better restaurants in Korat around the same price range

Cafe'16 is located close to downtown area of Korat. The place is not big but well decorated. There are both indoor with air condition and open door garden view. The food here is considered as European looked with Thai taste. My favorite menu are fried chicken wing and spaghetti with spicy seafood. The opportunity of improvement will be on quality of service.

We found this place by accident last year, as we where driving by something about the sign and decor seemed out of place in korat, so we pulled over to take a look. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Thai-European hybrid menu, and further the bohemian interior design was really tastefully done so we decided to go in and give it a try.
So we get to the food, which was great. A lot of European dishes albiet most with a thai twist, combined with a bunch of traditional thai choices. Pretty much everything was great, short version this is now our favourite restaurant in korat, good food, great decor, relaxed atmosphere, they even have some comfy leather chairs and a selection of magazines to keep you busy. We will be back in Thailand in a few months and I'll try and take some photos to add.
