Things have changed. The Steak Hut no longer serves Thai food and now only steak. The Burger Bar makes for messy eating, with no plates or cutlery and the burgers seemed less tasty. The things that made this a great place for us to stop over on the way to Bangkok from the North East have now gone - I doubt we will return again unless we hear that things have returned to the good old days.

Went here because my mom was craving a steak. Menu was rather limited. She got a ribeye - cooked the way she wanted which was rare. The kurobuta pork kra pow was tasty. The beef was fine. Thankfully there were sauces to dip it in. The french fried were excellent. The chocolate fudge cake was great. Service was attentive.

The steak was nice. Their water is fluoridated mineral water. Why? They expect you to scan a QR code to see the digital menu. I ask for a physical menu but was told the prices were not updated. What right do they have to use our personal phones to run their business? What type of data is being transferred from our phones to third party data collectors? If they want to go digital, they can provide us with iPads, Galaxy Tabs, or use those small kiosk like some MK Suki branch. What if a customer does not use a smart phone? What if the customer's phone is out of battery? What if the customer has concerns about privacy? I'm sick of businesses trying to coerce you to scan codes or install their apps just to sell your information. If I knew this before hand, I would not have dined here...

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the steaks at this restaurant. At first, I did not have much expectations as I had no knowledge of their beef and thought the quality was no where near American or Australian beef. I was clearly mistaken. The steak was very good and I have to say that I have respect for Thai beef! Their kurobuta pork steak was decent. We also tried their beef and pork fried rice. The beef fried rice also stood out because of the beef. I hope to return to Khao Yai in the future and when I do, I will surely visit this restaurant again.

Yes, it's expensive. This is not some local cheap steak place in Bangkok. The Chokchai Steak House, part of the sprawling Farm Chokchai, is first and foremost a tourist trap and the prices reflect that. If you're OK with that, you'll be fine. Overall, we found the food to be quite good. We had two dishes. Pork chop - 650 Baht, came with a dinner roll and butter, side salad with the famous Farm Chokchai salad dressing, steamed veggies Dry-aged Thai beef ribeye - 2,050 Baht, came with a dinner roll and butter, side salad with Farm Chokchai salad dressing, steamed veggies, cream of mushroom soup, and a big ol' beef bone marrow topped with buttered bread crumbs. First off, the pork chop. Overall it was very tasty and cooked quite well. It managed to avoid being too dry, as I find most pork chops to be, and it was quite large. The accompanying side dishes were good, too. V The dry-aged ribeye was a beast in and of itself. When picking a premium cut like this the staff will show you the steak before you officially order it to make sure it's to your liking. Then, once it's cook and delivered to your table they'll ask you to cut it and make sure it's cooked to your desired doneness. I ordered my medium-rare, which they seemed to have a little trouble hitting. It first came out a bit too rare, and after sending it back, it came back to me almost the same. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle and said it was fine (which it was). The steak was huge, easily over 1 pound, and was a nice mix of meat and fat, just as a ribeye should be. The taste was very good, too, although not entirely as flavorful as I would expect a dry-aged steak to be. It came with all the other side dishes that the pork chop did, as well as a cup of cream of mushroom soup (which was excellent) and a very large split bone with marrow that was topped with buttered breadcrumbs. The bone marrow was excellent, but on top of an already very large steak it felt like a bit too much. And, being bone marrow, it was VERY rich, so keep that in mind. And then there's the price. As I mentioned before this place is geared towards tourists, so you should totally know what to expect price wise. Unless you're eating the very expensive cuts of meat, be ready to pay between 350-1200 Baht for either a beef or pork steak. Expensive, yes, but if you're coming here expecting to pay cut-rate big city prices you're obviously in the wrong place. If I'm in the Muk Lek area again I'll probably make a stop here for a bite to eat. Get over the prices and enjoy the tourist-y experience and you'll enjoy it. PS - the service, from entry to exit, was attentive, friendly, and solid.

To be honest, I have some expectation for this well known establishment. But it let us down. The cut of the steak is of poor and small. It would give it One star if not for the diligent and friendly staff. I would not recommend you to eat here. You probably be better off eating elsewhere.

I brought a big group of 16 friends to lunch at this place. The waitresses were recommending the expensive premium cuts and to be safe I asked them if they have enough portions of regular cuts for us. They had to check with the kitchen. The servings were miserable. Wine by glass and bottle are all expensive.

Ordered the featured prime rib. Have you ever had prime rib that didn't have a bone? Nether have I. Secondly, they covered it in gravy. Who on earth would want a 1100 baht prime rib covered in two bit gravy? It tasted old as if it had been sitting around in a fridge forever. Wasn't worth the money at all. Secondly, cannot get an alcoholic drink outside the "Thaksin" hours. Thirdly, they add the dreaded service charge to your bill. This will be the last time I stop here. Much better steaks to be had in the area.

We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last 15 years. I prefer to buy a burger at the Farm's fast food burger bar and the family prefers to order at the restaurant. No problems with bringing in the Farm's own food and extra plates are offered by the attentive staff.

We went for lunch at the Chokchai Farm Steakhouse after our visit to the ChokChai Farm. Would say the environment is pretty nice - very country western with CW music playing. We had some Asian and some Steak and I would say the Asian (Pad Krapao Gung and Pad Krapao Beef) was average (a little costlier though - 129b if not mistaken) while the Steak (we had the Kurubuta Pork and Australia Wagyu Beef). The Kurubuta Pork is pretty tender and tasty while the Wagyu was just average though is quite delicious. Overall I would say not bad an experience but probably a one-off affair at this restaurant as there are plenty of other nice place to eat in KhaoYai

My family visited the Chok Chai Steak House that is located at Chok Chai Farm on Hwy 24. Hoping to enjoy a true quality beef steak was the point of our visit as we all know that Thailand offers very few quality beef establishments an most of them are on the expensive side and usually found in upper-class hotels. It wasn't comparable to prime beef steaks offered in the midwest United States or even at the Argentinian Steak House in Bangkok but with that said, the price was reasonable and the quality was better than 90% of what claims to be offering beef on their menu so if you aren't too choosy, it is worth a trip as the steaks are good.

Chokchai Steak House was our first stop for lunch after having arrived from Singapore and doing the land journey up to Khao Yai. We were interested as many of us are steak lovers. This was a local farm with a steak house on its property. 4 of us out of 7 had the good stead at Bahts1,250.00 per pax. It was truly a bad experience. The steak was just okay, nothing great and for that price? I can get better steak elsewhere and cheaper at that. Not a place that I would return to. Not recommended.

Stop by at restaurant after long drive and bad traffic from Nakorn Ratchasima. Steak here is not bad but not the best either. Premium coffee may be the best shot for place. If you like Jerky, you should try one there. (it is sold at burger house nearby).

The place is along the highway, easy to reach and good parking in front. Inside the restaurant the staff is most of the times very friendly and helpfull, sometimes, when there is a hughe amount of peaple, like on a holliday, the staff has then no time for a small talk or long explaations, that 's normal. The food is excellent, the steaks are real thick big steaks and they prepare them as you like them. I have been several time here and I keep coming back.
