Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were impressed by the selection of food and the prices of this place. It was always empty when we walked by so didn't go here until later in the week, but were pleasantly surprised by the prices, quality and variety of food choices. Only thing is it is very loud from the being right on the main road.

I had two evening meals at this pleasant restaurant on Tulamban's main street. Fish and chips (very Balinese I know), and grilled prawns. The prawns were grilled in the shell which wasn't what I was expecting, but still very nice. The restaurant provides good service, reasonably priced, well presented meals which I quite enjoyed.

Came here for dinner and it looked like the only place open in town. Surprisingly it has a very Western menu. I had their Beef Stroganoff which was pretty decent and my girlfriend had Chicken Cordon Bleu which was very good and came in a big portion. Unfortunately, the starter salad is just sliced tomato and not worth the 33k whatsoever. Prices for the mains are reasonable however. Recommended overall.

Very friendly staff. Place is a bit quiet. Food was pretty good. We had the fish and chips and snitzel. No complains apart from that the chicken hawaiian salad had to much mayonaise. For the rest a perfect place to have a meal! Would recommend it.

We had the "special du jour" which was fish and chip. Good surprise we can choose barracuda or tuna. Both were good but 3 of us préfères the barracuda. We were the only client, but it was Sunday night, so maybe that's the reason.

We ate here for lunch most of 10 days whilst diving in the area. While this restaurant was generally quiet during the day, we found the food very good and similarly priced to other spots around town. Its newish...clean and spacious. Nice staff. Recommended

Tulamben is a quiet town without a huge number of restaurant choices. However Sanya is doing a good job of leading the pack. I would say probably the best option in Tulamben. The food and drinks and very inexpensive, the service was exceptionally friendly and experienced.

We went here on Christmas night, although it wasn't busy we decided to try anyway. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a grilled fish. The taste and presentation was beautiful- it was the best meal we had in Tulamben and we have visited Tulamben 8 times. The lovely waitress even went to find us a bottle opener for the wine we had bought, maybe they will get there own soon :) It was excellent value for money and we will go back for sure.

Clean and huge restaurant. There were also little flies and mosquitoes. The meat of the chicken satay was succulent! It tastes really good. The grilled barracuda is also worth trying, so is the bak mee goreng. The waiting time was alright.

Prices for food in tulamben are in general higher than in regular warungs, so from what i saw only Ratna Warung offers great balinese cooking for 10,000 a portion (and closes early in the afternoon). I ate in Sandya twice and the dishes were always rich - especially rice with different kinds of meats and tofu and tempeh. Seafood rice was not that diverse. And the black rice pudding is a very interesting dessert - super sweet as most of the Indonesian sweets, but rich with flavors. I very much recommend paying a visit there.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner one night, we were there with only one other table, and I cannot understand why. We started with a salad, and the corn and crab soup, both were fresh and tasty. For our mains we had the grilled chicken steak, and grilled garlic prawns with past, both exceeded our expectations, and were very good. For dessert I thought I would give the black rice pudding a try, and was surprised at how good it was. Service was good and the restaurant is clean. Just not sure why it is not busier as the prices are low compared to the other restaurants in the area.

This restaurant never seen busy. When the blinds is down at noon, cover all the newly refurbished decor inside. Special on board, fish and chips. 3 pieces of fish for 55k. Lightly battered. Delish! Pork satay was gorgeous too. Used to be 8 sticks. Gone down to 7 sticks. Pricing still the same old same old.

I had fishcurry with barracuda. It was really, really tasty. The restaurant is clean and staff is very friendly. The prices are low compared to the other restaurants from dive centers in Tulamben. Wished we would have found it earlier..
