Lovely evening with Italian cuisine. Pasta was fabulous, good range of such. Sadly no pizza on the menu at all, who h we found strange for an Italian but we were aware of that before going.
Busy place in a good open space.
Great cocktails...too and reasonably priced overallMore
Service from Nyoman was 1st class.
However, I was underwhelmed by the lamb ragout. The ' gnocchi' were huge and stodgy.
Dessert menu was uninspiring.
After all the rave reviews I'm disappointed. The price of wine is exorbitant. Also, it was very hot upstairs.
Feel...ripped off 😕More
After arriving in Seminyak in the afternoon, and my partner riding the tail-end of 'Bali belly', we had three requirements when looking for somewhere to head for dinner - close by to our hotel, fairly simple food choices and great overall reviews. Thankfully, La Lucciola...ticked all of these boxes!
After a short wait (as we had no table booked, and sat in the waiting area with a pair of cocktails) we were seated upstairs, giving us a lovely view of the palm tree-lined beachfront, which were all beautifully lit in the warm Balinese night. The waiting staff were all courteous and attentive, and seemingly within no time at all our meals appeared before us. The restaurant itself was quite packed, and we could see people amassing in the waiting area mere moments after we had left. If that's not the best measure of a restaurant, I don't know what is.
Oh wait, the food! That's the best measure of a restaurant! My partner, due to his delicate constitution at the time, went for a simple cheesy gnocchi dish, while I went for one of the seafood options. We wolfed down our meals in record time, which is usually a testament to the chef. and it was a sign that my partner was getting better. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better start to our time in Seminyak.More

I tried emailing them recently to let them know I had been bitten by bamboo mites upstairs in their restaurant and nobody bothered to contact me. Thought I should warn them to treat their furniture. Check out a place called Nook Cafe not on the beach but a beautiful setting in the edge of rice paddies it's just down at Umulas not far away so much cheaper but with a great outdoor atmosphere
