Ginger Moon in Seminyak is an absolute must-visit every time we're in Bali. This beautiful café-restaurant is a true delight, offering a consistently exceptional experience that keeps us coming back again and again.
The staff are amazing—warm, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality make each visit feel special. The food is simply delicious, with a menu full of mouthwatering options that never disappoint. We particularly love the Peking Duck Pancakes and the Softshell Crab, which are always perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor.
And the cocktails—wow! They are out of this world, expertly crafted and a perfect complement to the incredible food. Whether you're stopping by for a leisurely lunch or a relaxed dinner, you can't go wrong with any of their offerings.
Whenever we're in Bali, we make it a point to support this beautiful venue and its fantastic staff. On some trips, we find ourselves here every day for lunch, savoring the delights of their menu and soaking in the wonderful ambiance. Ginger Moon truly embodies the best of Bali's dining scene, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

After reading all the great reviews, 6 of us headed up for dinner after booking online. The food was as advertised, great. Mum had the Nasi Goreng (chicken) which was awesome. Young kids had kids pizzas off the kids menu, Dad and middle kids had a selection of the dumplings and buns. All was delicious and fresh, and quickly served. Drinks were yum. We had the Ginger and Dragonfruit slushies and some soft drinks.
No dessert, so for a family of 6, the total damage was ~$116 AUD (1,160,000 rupiah). Very good price for top quality food. I wish we hadn't discovered it so late in our Seminyak stay. I would like to head back to have a prawn Nasi Goreng for myself.

I always acquaint a visit to Bali with fantastic authentic dining from local back ally warungs to busy restaurants on any number of main strips, but the food and experience at Ginger Moon blew us away.
From the minute we were warmly met by Indra, till the time we reluctantly left ( with full tummy's), the service and food were next level.
While I wanted to experience everything on the menu, fortunately we were accompanied by a couple of 'regulars' who guided us to their favourites. I tried the steamed buns first with the crumbed barramundi, a firm favourite. The prawn salad main was sensational as was the ubiquitous satay ayam. The cream broulee desert was the crowning glory. While totally stuffed, you simply couldn't resist it.
Ginger Moon is our friends favourite restaurant in Bali and I think it's going to become ours to!

Family dinner tonight at Ginger Moon 5th June 2024, was very excited in anticipation but quite disappointed.
Arrived at 5.30 and home by 7, totally rushed through dinner and out the door.
Food was quite nice but service so rushed we came home with indigestion.
Rushed meal did not provide ambiance to enjoy the whole experience.
No hope of ordering a second beer because you were made to feel like eat and get going.
Had to pay for water, still water $2.80 for each bottle. Bottle was decanted Aqua water. Could have understood $2.80 per person but per bottle for what they pay 50cents for seemed offensive.
Young grandson had walked in with a 200ml bottle of water which he had sitting on the table and we were asked to remove it from the table.
Tried it, thought food was ok, service rushed to point of ridiculous and won’t bother coming back.
Recommend you pace your meal yourself otherwise you too won’t enjoy yourself.

We go here early, 5.30PM no booking required on a Wednesday night.
Had a family of 7 with 2 kids.
We had several entrees including, prawn dumplings and sucking pig steamed buns.
Nothing really spectacular here.
Dumplings full of prawns and crispy porn skin for the buns.
Had chicken curry and flying fish.
Again nothing really great.
Please be aware that the nasi goreng if it is to be shared is to small we ordered two and felt that it wasnt enough for 5 adults.
Overall nothing to rave about, good indo food.

I have heard people rave about Ginger moon but this was the worse restaurant we ate at in Bali.
I had a fish dish it was dry and rubbery my husband had spring rolls and Nasi goreng he had a really upset stomach the next day. Service was terrible we was shown our table given menus and then waited 10 minutes to be served we had to ask to place our drink orders and though we better order our food while waitress is there. No one came and asked if we wanted any more drinks or dessert menu.
With so many better options in Seminyak I wouldn’t go back here.

A lunchtime visit whilst passing through Seminyak
Two covers. We enjoyed Chicken Curry Spring Rolls, Sweetcorn Fritters and Prawn Crackers for starters.
Following we shared the Nasi Goreng served with Spare Ribs, Sausage and Pork Crackling.
The whole meal was truly memorable
Can highly recommend the Coconut Mojito cocktail

Ginger Moon has become a staple for my family. This was my 5th stay in Bali and I have been visiting this restaurant since I was about 12 years old and the value and great quality has been maintained. So many vegetarian options that are delicious and unique. Highly reccomend!

Ginger Moon serves delicious small courses, each presented beautifully on interesting plates, platters or racks. Ingredients are fresh, local and seasonal. During ruby dragon fruit season don't miss the vivid dragon fruit sorbet style dessert. The surroundings are elegant and feature live plants and flowers, always a good sign of careful attention to detail. The Beverage menu is exceptional and features many Indonesian flavours with clever garnishes of coconut, mint, lime, lemon grass and so on, but beware the innocent dried chili which leaves anyone nibbling it with after burn! Australian chef Dean Keddell is at the top of his game and running a really interesting establishment. Don't miss it.

Being regular visitors to Bali, this place is always on the agenda.
We did dinner twice here this time and as always, service was very quick and friendly. We had our 3 year old grandson with us and without asking a high chair appeared with coloured pencils and book plus we were put upstairs in a corner out of the way which was appreciated.
Food is Asian focussed with half moon steamed buns and seafood being a big hit and my pork ribs being very tender. Servings are plentiful and you will not leave hungry with everybody struggling to finish their meals.
Just be aware this restaurant is now very popular, with good reason, and you may have to book.

Visited this restaurant based off TA reviews, personal recommendations from friends and a fabulous dinner at their sister restaurant "Jackson Lilly" and it certainly didn't disappoint.
We sat inside in the lovely air-conditioning but with a window seat facing the road so we could still see all action.
The service was friendly, helpful and attentive - all that you could ask for.
The drinks were really well priced ( a glass of bubbles for 95k which is great in Vali).
The food was beautiful- we shared the chicken curry spring rolls, the suckling pig bao buns, the Peking duck pancakes and the garlic cheese pizza all of which were fab and more than enough for the two of us.
We found it to be really good value for such a great night out.
Would definitely recommend.

Along the endless street of clubs in the main street of Semyniak this restaurant stands out for its relaxing atmosphere, well-kept furnishings and Asian cuisine. We ate dumplings and vegetable dishes. All very good. Friendly staff (the norm in these places). Prices in the local (derisory) average. We spent about 6 euros each.

This was not our usual style of eatery while in Bali as we tend to frequent the smaller Warungs around the place as well as the night food markets so was more expensive than we normally go. The decor and atmosphere of the place certainly give it a funky, bustling vibe with a younger feel to the place. Food was well executed and presented which is part of the reason for increased pricing I guess as you are in to territory of restaurant world . I ordered the mother in laws famous curry which is reported to be very spicy. They even checked when I ordered it that I was OK with spicy. It was a nice curry but sadly lacked the spice hit that I was anticipating. The gado gado that my wife had packed more punch. Dumplings were sensational and the surprise of the night was the pizza which shocked everybody.
Great place to pile it on the table and share away. I am glad I went but I am more at home in a night market and food stalls

We dined here during our first trip to Bali last year, and we were so impressed that this time we wanted to return with our friends who are first timers to Bali.
Again, we were highly impressed by the quality of food, and the service. Each meal was absolutely delicious. All eight of our group were very very impressed. Ginger Moon is definitely worth the extra expense for a special dinner out during your time in Bali.

Recently visited Ginger Moon and all I can say is if you're in Bali, never mind Seminyak, you definitely don't want to miss this place.
The food is unreal and when it has four flames on, it's not playing. Our waitress (so sorry I didn't catch your name) was so helpful, wisely telling us not to go for three starters, the food is plentiful, delicious and amazing value for money.
