During a leisurely stroll along the coast, we stumbled upon Seasalt, an inviting restaurant that instantly caught our attention. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of warmth and tranquility, a peaceful oasis amidst the noisy, bustling surroundings.
Our experience was truly exceptional, beginning with Cintya, our server. She was not only professional and attentive but also a wonderful guide to the menu, offering personal recommendations that hit the mark every time. From start to finish, our glasses were kept full, and Cintya was always available for any questions or requests.
The food was both conceptual and creative, while still grounded in the fundamentals of great cuisine. Despite the menu’s artistic flair, everything we tried was satisfying and perfectly balanced. Don’t let the prices discourage you—each course, from the complimentary appetizers to the decadent meals, made us feel as though we’d ordered far more than we actually did, leaving us pleasantly full but never overwhelmed.
A special mention goes to the mango sago dessert, which Cintya recommended—absolutely the perfect way to end the evening on a sweet, refreshing note.
We left Seasalt feeling rejuvenated and content, thanks to the healthy, flavorful, and unique dishes. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a peaceful night’s rest, grateful for the experience. All you can eat buffet style (but also made to order) breakfast for 250,000/person. We couldn’t believe it. The food here is top tier and for the price I only wish I had more room to eat more. We went here for dinner one night and breakfast on the morning we left for home. No matter what time of day you visit you won’t be disappointed. The staff and the food are excellent. The ocean view doesn’t hurt either.

Fancied a special meal & wow did this place deliver. We were made to feel so welcome & then when we saw that the restaurant is practically on the waves of the sea simply wowed us ! We ate Bass & Barramundi beautifully presented & tasted delicious. So much attention to detail. We ordered sides of roasted new potatoes, whole baby carrots glazed in walnuts & asparagus ( even writing this now is making my mouth water !) The birthday cake was a very special touch to celebrate my husband’s upcoming big birthday. Thank you. The homemade shell chocolates were melt in your mouth.
Del & Karisma were very attentive but not intrusive allowing us to take in the incredible sunset.
One of the best locations in the world we’ve ever had dinner.

Premise: I do not usually write reviews despite the myriad of restaurants I try with friends and my partner, but in this case I feel like reviewing.
Spectacular hotel, restaurant , swimming pool , atmosphere , service.
Me and my partner, we were excited to have dinner for the last night in this place, in fact we opted for the non-spicy fish menu of 5 courses with a price of 800,000 RP each (for those who do not know in Bali eat in more than decent restaurants at 500.000RP in two) 1 extra plate of tuna tataky (another 150,000/200.00 RP I do not remember precisely) a bottle of white wine (another 1.500.00 RP).
In short, we do not pay attention to the bill the important thing is good!
Food comes and we're still out of wine.
But that's okay. Let's wait.
They are wrong to let a course arrive, that is, the next one had already been prepared before, but it does not matter.
While the dish of one of the two was ready the other waited several minutes for the same course.

2nd visit, came here two years ago for sunset dinner. We were a table of 8, we found service unattentive and took about 30 minutes to have a drink delivered. Considering our bill was $200aud in service charges we found it a bit unfulfilling.
The chef did the rounds of the tables and he was a welcome addition to talking about his experience and food.
Grilled seafood over cooked
Tomato soup was absolutely amazing
Slow cook octopus amazing
Poached fish amazing
Beef rib without the rib disappointed those that liked sucking in a rib

We had pre-booked a table in advance and arrived to be offered a wonderful table with a great view, so we were off to a good start. Our table waiter Karisma did do a great job, but the overall experience and food were shocking. We enquired about fresh oysters as couldn't see them on the menu, our waiter assured us they were, and bought 2 pieces from the kitchen for us to view, they were completely dry, with no brine had obviously been pre-shucked several hours/day before. So we passed on this, we proceeded to both order a fish main, the fish was dry hard, and overcooked, and the combination of sauces and flavors was completely wrong and lacked balance and culinary expertise. The side salad we ordered was inedible and covered in a sweet dressing, that also did not compliment the meal, so we sent this back. As compensation, we were offered some dessert on the house, but politely declined as we were not interested in anymore food from the kitchen. We then requested to pay the bill, and the staff proceeded to spend 20 minutes trying to use the Amex machine. We then left very disappointed, the next day I noticed that the restaurant had charged me twice. I then had to spend 30 minutes in a taxi heading back to the hotel to arrange the refund of the overcharge. My friend had also experienced a rough night on the toilet, although we cannot prove it was from Seasalt food, we suspect it may have. When I arrived back at the hotel reception I was met by the restaurant manager, who kindly apologized for all the mishaps and alerted me that there was no manager on duty on the Monday night we attended the restaurant. I have now received the refund of the overpayment. I subsequently emailed both the restaurant F&B manager and the finance department of the Alila Hotel again to highlight the issues we experienced food-wise, but they have not had the courtesy to respond or acknowledge the quality of food complaints. I am not a person who bothers to post reviews but in this case, it is certainly warranted. I would not return, or recommend a meal here. We had booked on line for a table of 4 to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday for lunch. we arrived on time and were seated at a nice table outside with a great view. We quickly ordered a sparkling water however this bottle did not arrive until we got them to see where it had gone some ten minutes later.
We read the menus and was ready to order our food and drinks but could not see any staff outside as they were all having a happy discussion at the bar/reception area. This went on for approximately 10 minutes before they noticed us waving our arms in the air.
We ordered some drinks and our food but only one out of two beers arrived so another delay before the second one arrived.
Our entree arrived about 30 minutes later and proceeded to order another round of drinks which took about 15 mins to arrive.
A further 30 minutes later our mains arrived minus the fried rice we had ordered. We questioned the staff and they said they would go and check. About 10 minutes later (after we had all finished our mains that had arrived) they came back and said it was on its way but after questioning they confirmed it had been forgotten about. So we waited another 20 mins for the fried rice to arrive. The food was excellent but the service and timing was poor. Our daughter had to leave as it was getting late. We asked for the bill which came promptly with no offer of compensation for the stuff ups and them about 6 staff came out to sing happy birthday to my daughter whom had already left! Talk about embarrassing?

The setting is pleasant, especially at sunset, but hey the same sunset all over the coast... On the other hand, at the F&B level it's an absolute disappointment - a complicated map to decipher, I challenge you to understand what you order... The prices are very expensive and all without accompaniment (extra), the quantities of the plates are minimalist (for a super high price) and without any real flavor - We are ok to pay that much, but so we expect something nice on the plate, here that is absolutely not the case... it's bland - The service is friendly but pressing, even oppressive, being hotel owners, we know it well - and there it is is too strong a presence, on the other hand perfectly mastering the techniques to consume more drinks etc. but it is too showy, a little unhealthy - You can eat much better elsewhere for less in places where the quality of the food is really good. Have a drink at sunset, but no more... for the restaurant go your way, besides the only customers are those of the hotel... We will not come back and definitely advise against it... Move on your way.

Unforgettable mediocrity cuisine!
Worth place to go in Bali ! Super expensive for average food. Reach nearly 4.000 000 rupees for 2 people . Sea breeze, waves crashing, what more can you ask for? Well eventually great food and nothing to complain about !
Wine selection is crazy and overpriced… it’s insane !!! I ordered a wine from Indonesia at 700 000 rupees, wanted to try local wine … I asked for a replacement but the waiter call his manager who call his manager and so on to finally say NO ! I asked for another “decent” bottle then .
You will pay over 1 100 000 for a bottle of Sauvignon white 2023 New Zealand … ridiculous! Same for rosé or red wine ( pays d’oc) starting from 900.000 rupees.
You will be lucky to receive a “special “ with a tiny cube of watermelon and basil… yeahhhhhh! Great to digest …After keeping waiting over 30 minutes to order appetisers only !
I experimented the octopus tentacule slow cook … well if you are willing for adventure, then go ahead and think for yourself… I though it was a very messy combination with peanut sauce ( too much sauce and spongy rice puff ) and the rest of the dish … will grade 5/10.
It’s hard not to say anything with such a bad experience, and it’s worth to read reviews avoiding this scam ! Be aware …

Stayed at the Alila and was at Seasalt for breakfast and dinner. The service I have to say is amazing, the staff for breakfast even though it was super busy were always friendly and accomodating. The server Leo who helpe us during dinner was also great. Only feedback I would like to give is that although the menu was priced decently given the quality of the restaurant , the steaks were astronomical given the quality. The sirloin was 1 cm thin and costs USD90 and the steak platter for 2 costs USD120. We were a big group so we ordered both reasonably priced dishes(USD20-30) which were good but also ordered both steak dishes which were a big letdown. Given the price we expected better. To compare we went to the chi chi restaurant Merah Putih down the road and their steak platter for 2 was USD33 and was delicious!

Had a lovely evening at Seasalt the staff are professional, friendly and attentive.
The food was excellent and well presented.
My one gripe is with the wine , I purposely asked for the wine to be put in an ice bucket on our arrival so it would be nice and chilled for our dinner.
We had dinner at “W” the previous evening and had been served tepid white wine so we didn’t want a repeat.
We proceeded to the bar and had cocktails and then presented for dinner , the wine was served and it was at an acceptable temperature.
It got warm very quickly and by the second glass it was un drinkable without adding ice I put this down to the wine tubes they serve it in and whilst there is ice in the bottom it’s not enough to keep the wine at an acceptable temperature.
Solution is the old fashion ice bucket .
Gripe over .
Ps: if they fully lit the pool at night it would give a lovely ambiance..

Our family went there for dinner, 7 of us and 2 babies in high chairs, the service was prompt, getting us seated and drinks, then they got food for the kids. The staff are really attentive, we all had seafood, including the fish that came salt encrusted. The tomato salad was amazing. Cynthia, the head waiter, was highly efficient and really knew how to coordinate the food and our beverages. Having kids with us, we got there early, about 6pm watched the sunset before our meal, enjoyed our food, then finished up sitting on the decking, with a relaxing ale, in the cool sea breeze before departing. All food was high quality, no problem eating the side dishes, purple sweet potato mash, spinach, beetroot salad, tomato salad. The service and atmosphere (sitting looking out at the beach) was such a great experience, cost us about AUD$85 per person, but we did have a couple of cocktails each and a few beers (no wine), only main course and lots of sides, but well worth it.

I recently dined at SeaSalt to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our server, Mba Dewi, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our evening special.

Our first night in Bali was in the right sense of the word right. We chose Seasalt because of previous reviews and because we are lovers of fish.
We were welcomed hospitably and given time to make a good choice of drinks beforehand and food. Not for a moment did we feel rushed to order anything.
The food was delicious. The crab salad beforehand was top notch and so were the octopus and sea bass. The evening became fantastic because of the sweet attention of Dewi and her colleagues.
Because of the beautiful location of the restaurant on the beach, you also have a chance of a beautiful sunset.
All in all, a great night!
