We recently dined at Chandi on Oberoi Street and were impressed by the excellent service and inviting ambience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal.
We started with the little beef rendang parcels, which were bursting with flavor—so much so that I could have easily eaten more! For our mains, my husband opted for the skewered tuna steaks, while I chose the eggplant curry with tempeh. Both dishes were delicious. The meal was complemented by two beers and a glass of wine, bringing our total to around $85 AUD, which felt a little pricy.
One area for improvement would be the eggplant curry. The pieces of vegetable were quite large and difficult to cut and eat, so a larger bowl would enhance the dining experience and make it more manageable.

We had a great experience at Chandi! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with chilled facecloths—a refreshing touch in the Bali heat.
We took advantage of their fantastic happy hour (12 PM - 6 PM) with 2-for-1 cocktails and tried the Pandanus Arak Mandu and the Ginger Lemongrass Mojito—both were very good. For food, we started with the Indochine Dim Sum, which was delicious but a bit small, so we immediately ordered another. We also had the Rice Cracker Shrimp Balls (3 pieces) and the Amazing Crunchy Tofu Squares—everything lived up to the name except the tofu, which we didn’t find as amazing.
Service was outstanding. When we started waving away a fly, our server immediately brought over a fly fan for the table—such a thoughtful touch. And when we asked for the bill, they noticed we’d only had three drinks and made sure we got our fourth, even packing it in a to-go cup.
Great food, fantastic happy hour, and incredibly attentive service—would definitely return!

We walked in off the street at Chandi for lunch. We asked the waiter if he had gluten free options, and he told us the modifications he could do to help out!
They were so lovely and accomodating to our needs, cooking us a slightly modified tofu dish just for us minus gluten. They really put the effort in.
Our 2 x Nasi dishes were delicious. Very reasonable priced lunch, with a great view people watching the street.

Service was super nice.
We ate in the evening, the sea bass was a bit dry and the hot grill with meat was a rather small portion. Everything was OK, but we would prefer other restaurants. (Babou near the Alila Hotel was only 15 euros more expensive and much better)

Set right in the heart of Eat Street. this restaurant gets a visit at least a couple of times every time we are in this area. There are lots of good restaurants around but, in my opinion, this is head and shoulders, the best.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. Atmospheric, classy and very relaxed indeed. The staff help a lot with this by being professional, but friendly and Attentive without being overbearing.
On this occasions, we sampled the superb cocktails as they seemed to offer better value than the wine list, and we are glad we made this choice. They accompanied the meal extremely well and we would do it again.
The butterfish is extremely highly recommended as are the satay platters. In truth, I think you could eat anything off this menu and you would be blown away.
Can’t wait until next time.

The service was very good. We had a shared seafood platter and the seafood was dry and overcooked, there was no soft shell crab or lobster as described. Definitely would not recommend this dish. One guest had the duck off the menu and really enjoyed it. This restaurant was recommended by a family who comes often. I wouldn’t come back as there are too many other restaurants of better quality to try - maybe we were there on an off night for the kitchen.

Chandi remains my all-time favorite restaurant. The charming decor and pleasant ambience create the perfect setting, with a captivating view of Seminyak street. I love sitting back, sipping on their fresh and delicious cocktails, and watching the lively pulse of the street below.
The standout for me is undoubtedly their margarita – it's hands down the best I've ever tasted. The bartenders here truly know their craft. The menu is a delightful journey through pan-Asian flavors, offering a diverse selection that never fails to impress. My personal favorite is the Butterfish Miso Dashi, a dish that always leaves me craving more.
A special shoutout to Puja, our waiter, whose attentiveness and friendliness added an extra layer to our dining experience. He was always ready to assist with a genuine smile, making the visit even more enjoyable.

I came last weekend to have a dinner at Chandi. The Indochine Dimsum and Butterfish Miso Dashi were exceptional. They also happen to have a wine promo during weekend, which prices relatively cheaper. Good dinner, good wine.

If there was a negative rating possible we would mark that!
We were 6 of us who went there for dinner last evening.
We placed multiple orders that in any kitchen would require some amount of preparation time. In this case the food just came out of the kitchen immediately and seemed like it was stale unsold food! The restaurant was bereft of other guests.
I also ordered a Bloody Mary and at the very first sip it felt like something was wrong.
We were very hungry and so ate soon but the rubbery texture of the mushroom and tofu was noticed.
My friend ordered salmon and a few other items.
Within 20 min of finishing our meal I started feeling very queasy and wanted to throw up! I went to the loo and sure enough vomitted the entire meal.
We called for the steward and expected if nothing else an apology. He was very rude and refused to accept any responsibility or even be kind.
Next the manager came and to our shock was even more rude! Told us we were wrong and that they don’t serve nonsense food!
It’s amazing in this day n age of hospitality we get such treatment.
All night was spent with each one throwing up, loose motions and having stomach cramps.
Our Bali plans for Sunday got washed out and as I write this we are still in recovery mode.
Stay away from this place.

We’re sorry to hear you had a frustration experience at Chandi, and apologize for any discomfort and inconvenience caused.
We’re currently conduct an investigation into this incident which includes reviewing food & beverage handling process, staff service and chronology. When you came, you said you were starving. Before eating you ordered Bloody Mary then added tabasco to it. In terms of health, this is not good for empty stomach. This can trigger stomach discomfort and cause ulcers that lead to vomiting. But still as a matter of good faith at that time, our staffs did apologize to you.
We also take food preparation and cooking seriously. We ensure that the food we serve complies with hygiene and health procedures, so perhaps the conditions you were experiencing is because of your stomach condition.
However we thank you for bringing this matter into our attention and do sympathize with your situation. A sincere hope for you to recover soon.

I probably didn't have enough to provide a comprehensive review, but i had an ok experience here. I ordered the chicken sisit starter (shredded chicken with lettuce side salad). It was ok but not great - not too mych flavour in chicken and lettuce a bit oily. I also had a ginger mojito - overly strong ginger in bottom and watery at top. I didn't enjoy this. Chose to leave without my free second cocktail. Setting was nice. I note my average review is based on only 2 things i had.

Our group of five ate at Chandi last Saturday night and as usual the meal was excellent. I have never had a bad meal here and have eaten there each time we have come to Bali over many years. The rolled crispy pork and crispy duck were great. They currently have a bottled wine special at 420,000 with a good selection, which by Bali wine standards is pretty reasonable for the quality. An enjoyable meal from a favourite restaurant.

Once we found the Chandi we dined here for dinner 3 nights in a row and on our last night in Bali. The Restaurant decor and atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are very service orientated, professional and friendly.
We tried all the starters on the menu during our visits and they are all delicious. Fresh quality produce.
We also tried most of the mains, all were excellent but the 2 dishes that were outstanding were the sizzling meat medley and the Green Vegetarian Nasi Goreng.
If you want to experience an excellent Indonesian Cuisine we highly recommend the Chandi.
Thank you to the staff and the Chefs for making our dining experience memorable.

We enjoyed a lunch booking here. Chose to sit in the air con inside which we had a little spot all to ourselves.
2 for 1 cocktails which was nice and we shared some Rendang type noodles and satay on a sizzle block in front of us with different sauces.
Service was lovely and we thought it was reasonably priced. Would recommend!

During our visit to Seminyak, we ended up dining at Chandi Restaurant twice, and both experiences were outstanding. The restaurant has a very nice bar and fun atmosphere so we went there before dinner for drinks and stay over.
The menu has all the best Indonesian dishes with a bit of a modern twist. The Nasi Goreng was particularly good.
Service was friendly. The restaurant is in the middle of Seminyak shopping area. My wife like the decor, a bit elegant so good for special occasions I imagine.
Overall, Chandi Restaurant provides a really nice dining experience with excellent food, very good service, and a fun/lively atmosphere. Next time I am in Bali, I will go again!

On every level this restaurant delivers. The atmosphere is lovely. The service was so good we thought our waiter owned the restaurant! Than the food. Everything we ordered was wonderful. The crispy fried tofu and the dim sums are a must. We then shared the crispy duck and locally caught sea bass for the main. Both were delicious but the salsa and sauce on the fish was so so good. The fish was cooked perfectly and had a great flavour. We finished the meal with home made ice cream - just delicious. Then the value - a meal like this in Sydney would cost at least twice what we paid and you would still walk away happy.
