We had a fantastic meal, sitting out on the verandah, overlooking the beautiful gardens. Service was excellent and the food outstanding. We went back on the Sunday to enjoy the wonderful craft and food market.

The Millhouse Kitchen is on the premises of the Lourensford Wine farm serving great meals Very good friendly service A family restaurant with outside seating in a lovely garden where the children can run about while the adults can enjoy a meal with great wines

We are regular visitors to the Millhouse and have had both Dinner and Breakfast there recently. It has a beautiful setting within Lourensford wine estate. The menu is not large but provides a selection of choices which do vary seasonally and we have found more than adequate . The food tends to be presented in a minimalistic but attractive manner... Had a very successful kids Party at Milllhouse kitchen. Good enough play area. Allowed to bring in own 'goody bag and cake'. Food ordered for kids and parents of good standard. Very upset though by being caught by the old trick of adding service fee (it was mentioned in the bill I must admit although I only saw it in... More

Good Food and service. The wine is very expensive. It is cheaper to buy a bottle at the vineyard and pay corkage.

Lunch with family which was great. Staff were attentive. Food took time due to power out and cooking on gas but showed initiative and adaptability. We ordered a range of food options and all were great. Wine could be better served - reds should not be served hot! Overall great experience

The Mill House has most definitely upgraded since our last visit. The menu now has a larger variety and far more interesting options on offer. The service is amazing and the food cannot be faulted. Definitely worth another visit!

Always lovely to dine at Millhouse Kitchen. We had family visiting with kids (ages 9 and up) and Millhouse Kitchen our favorite spot as it is a relaxed atmosphere and the menu is diverse to suit everyone's taste. The pasta alfredo was the most delicious pasta I've had in a loooooong time and people round the table had thin-based pizza,... More

We visited as a family with other couples and kids. Really enjoyed it. I had the pork belly and it was really good. Kids could play on playground and had pizza. Lovely place for couples with friends to relax. Done entry level wines were sold out, so the more premium varieties cane at somewhat of a premium making the outing... More

Founded in 1700, Lourensford Estate has married its historic heritage with a vision to be at the forefront of modern wine technology and a leader amongst South African Wine producers.

Owner & Executive Chef, Bjorn Guido's cooking career started at The Greenhouse at Cellars-Hohenort under chef Peter Templehoff. He then moved abroad and joined Babington House, part of the SOHO HOUSE group under the renowned Ronnie Bonetti of River Cafe London. After gaining experience abroad, he returned home and took up the role of Head Chef at The Franschhoek Kitchen on the Holden Manz Wine Estate.

Food provenance and sustainability are core to Millhouse's philosophy. The eatery's contemporary barn-conversion interior puts a modern twist on classic elements, featuring a mix of leather banquette seating and reclaimed timber walls. Bjorn's aim was to create a neighbourhood feel where guests can relax and enjoy each other's company. Watch as food is prepared in the expansive open kitchen and Italian style pizza's are delivered fresh from the wood fired oven.
