We ordered Thai chicken curry and Thai prawn curry. The rice was served in a chipped vegetable dish and we were given a flat plate for our curry which was more like a soup and mine had very little chicken in it. The prawns were good but again more like a prawn soup than a curry.

10/10 for Wang Thai! I will most certainly be back and I highly recommended it. Great service, fabulous food (I had the Duck in red wine sauce), yummy cocktails and excellent value for money.

What awesome service, I wish I could remember the gentleman's name...so professional, friendly and helpful. Food was good...wine was chilled and the atmosphere was spot on. Thank you

This place offers stunning sunset views of Table Bay and deliciously cooked food. It can get busy and the serving time increases, but if you pick a lovely dusk, it's worth it!

First time to a Thai restaurant in South Africa. Wanted to try the Red Curry as I had it in Thailand last year and wanted to see if it compared. It was nice but did not understand why we had to pay extra for a little bit of rice. It did not come with the meal as it does with... More

We would highly recommend this restaurant, the food is excellent and oh so tasty. I chose a chicken stir fry followed by chocolate spring rolls and my husband had the beef stir fry followed by banana fritters, both meals delicious. The ambience was relaxing and the service excellent our hostess took the time to explain the different dishes with we... More

After an extremely disappointing time last year when Wang Thai really went downhill, we have in 2016 had some very delicious meals here under the new owners. Food is always extremely tasty and well priced and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good

Wang Thai Somerset West, still provides constant food quality and the new owners tried their best. But something is lacking. I can not put my finger on it, but it has maybe to do with the absance of a friendly host welcoming customers at the door and greeting them when they left.

Having been to Thailand a few times, this is not great Thai food. It's OK, but we wouldn't go back. The beach shacks over there do it so much better.

We used the restaurant initially because it was conveniently placed for us, but were very pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and good food. We returned again as we enjoyed it so much.
