Having recently traveled to Thailand, I wasn't too optimistic especially as this was the first time my parents were trying Thai food, and I've been disappointed in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised. They love it and the food was as true to the "real" thing. Compliments to the kitchen. Service was good, prompt and attentive - thank you.... More

I have always loved Wang Thai. Even at their previous location. The new Wang Thai takes it to another level. There are new items on the menu, the restaurant ambience has been sorted and it has a great view. You can also sit outside. Staff are very friendly and the food.... oh my word... mouth watering and divine. An epic... More

The friendly hosts always ensure a welcome greeting. Attentive service and great menu options. Authentic Thai dishes. Own wine recommended, but selection improving. Book to avoid disappointment.

This restaurant has relocated. We knew the restaurant before and this was the first time after. Situated in a shopping mall, there is a mall feeling to it. More of a consume restaurant and previously it had more of a personal touch. However, the food was fantastic. So nothing has changed in that department. The staff is friendly and left... More

Having decided to treat ourselves with supper at a restaurant in Somerset West we decided to try the new Wangthai now positioned at the Sanctuary Mall. The new restaurant is better situated than the previous position in old Somerset west. The Wangthai brand has always been synonymous with good authentic Thai food - we were not disappointed. Authentic Thai cuisine... More

An absolute change from the old place, stunning at sunset. Friendly and helpful waiters and excellent value for money. Food is to die for and it was buzzing with locals and swallows. Food was one of the better Thai meals I have had. Owners are friendly and helpful and authentic Thai's. A must go back again.

My husband and I visited Wang Thai for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Just like being in Thailand. Good service. Will definitely eat there again.

Delicious food. The prices are high, the wine is expensive - take your own and pay corkage. We quickly bought a bottle at the Spar next door! Atmosphere can be a bit snotty. Very open plan, not much privacy. Not a great position - next to a big parking lot for Spar supermarket !
